Front desk and restaurant staff were friendly and professional. The pool, spa and sauna very well maintained. Room was clean and comfortable. The property was fully booked when we stayed, yet it remained quiet and orderly the entire time.

I am frequently in Winona and have been shopping for a hotel that can be my 'go-to', unfortunately it will not be the Plaza. First, their computer system was down and after a half hour i finally left, forgoing the shower i had hoped for before my evening engagement. When I returned i was able to check in, but the shower head in the room was broken. I was moved to a different room but by that time it was very late and i waited until morning, just to find the heat and the tub drain in the bathroom not working. I was told by two different staff that I would receive a discount on my bill for all the inconveniences. When i checked my statement they had over charged my ( I signed for $140 for one night but the charge on my card was $188) they credited my $54, but that only came out to $6 less than what I was supposed to have paid. VERY disappointing.

Hello,We understand and apologize that your stay was not as great. Staff did the best they could to accommodate your stay as quickly as they could. Regarding the note that you were overcharged: You were not overcharged by the hotel. The room rate was 140 plus taxes, which would come out to 155.93. The system automatically runs a pre-authorization at check in that includes the amount of your stay (room and taxes) plus an additional 20% for incidentals. At check out, that 20% incidentals is released immediately on our end, but it will take a few days depending on the rules/policy of your bank/credit card to reflect that.Additionally, according to our system, you did receive a credit off of your bill and it was not 6 but rather 20. Once it goes into a post charge on your end, you will see that correct charge. Once again, we apologize about the inconveniences and hope that this clarification regarding your bill/credit helps.
