1.Only amenity in the room is a broken small refrigerator. Freezer is thick of ice, cover is missing.
2. Does not replenish plastic cups in the bathroom everyday, we had 7 days accommodations.
3. Advertised for Sound proof rooms, but can hear noises from the street.
4. Male manager is not friendly to customers.

Stayed one night at Value Inn in Bellflower, CA.
Rushed & tired after a long drive so not as thorough a review as I would usually give. Wrongly assumed the dark front office was closed upon arriving late but staff and lights quickly activated after I rang bell. A no frills budget hotel that requires an easily refunded cash deposit (which I felt was a bit unusual), but expected, as I researched reviews and amenities before booking. This non-smoking motel was well lit, clean, with a spacious room, and a large very comfortable king sized bed you could walk around with ease. Room had a slight air freshener smell (NOT obviously masking the smell of cigarettes often found in other budget motels and NO signs of cigarette butts littering the parking lot). Didn’t have to squeeze into a tight, hard to find, parking spot. Had clean towels and linens, larger small fridge with freezer compartment that can hold several water bottles that actually freeze, ice bucket and sanitary plastic cups. Plenty of easy to reach outlets to recharge electronics. No in-room clock/radio, coffee or microwave but microwave is available in lobby. Odd that there are no towel bars or hooks in bathroom to hang my toiletry bag (used the door knob). Room looks newly remodeled but seems to be a work in progress as there was a non-leaking crack in the bathroom sink and slight damage to bathroom door, and the door’s peephole did not work properly (pleasant mgt staff says it will be fixed soon).

Room is nice and location is convenient. There is a refrigerator but no microwave in the room. A microwave can easily be installed right above the refrigerator's cabinet. I had to go to the front desk to ask for a bar of soap since none was in the room. They gave me a very tiny bar of soap.
