You won't find a more convenient, comfortable, or scenic home base for your Big Sky adventures than this lofty mountain condo at the Shoshone Lodge, a ski-in/ski-out property that sits in the very heart of the Mountain Village. Here in the resort's central base area at the foot of Lone Peak, you'll be mere steps from the lifts, excellent dining and shopping, and a wealth of community amenities that include a swimming pool, a hot tub, a fitness center, a sauna, and a spa. Wake up each morning to gorgeous views of the slopes through glass doors that lead out to the balcony, snuggle up on plush living room furnishings to read the paper, and step into the open kitchen to flip pancakes on the stainless steel range. At the end of each thrilling day on the mountain, you'll come home to a large TV above the fireplace in the living room, and an open dining space where you can sit down for dinner, a game of cards, or mugs of hot cocoa.

This condo enjoys an unbeatable ski-in/ski-out location in the center of the Mountain Village at Big Sky Resort, just a few steps from the base of the Explorer, Swift Current, and Ramcharger lifts. Altogether, you'll have access to 38 lifts, seven terrain parks, 300 named trails, and a vertical drop of 4,350 feet at Big Sky in the winter, as well as scenic lift rides, incredible mountain biking, zipline tours, and great hikes all summer. Enjoy a wealth of shops, restaurants, and gear shops all around you in the Mountain Village, as well as the Arnold Palmer-designed Big Sky Golf Course, offering 18 holes at 6,500 feet above sea level, seven miles east. If you're looking to explore even more of this gorgeous region, you'll be able to take easy day trips to Bozeman (50 miles northeast) and West Yellowstone (57 miles south), one of the gateways to Yellowstone National Park.

This is our third stay at this property and there were just a few things that weren't quite up to snuff this time. There was broken glass and pretzel pieces on the floor. We were only provided with a single wash cloth and hand towel total for all of us to share. We called to get at least enough for everyone in our party to have one and that never happened. There were also no towels or wash cloths for the kitchen. Made it work washing dishes with paper towels. We also had a towel in the master bathroom with a giant mildew stain on it. We love the hottub and the proximity to the slopes. It just wasn't quite there on the service side this time.

Wonderful family vacation

We loved this property. The loft is unique to the 7th floor and provided extra space for our family of 6 to spread out. So nice to have VRBO things like olive oil and salt and pepper in the cupboards after 2 years of the pandemic. The location and view cannot be beat and the hot tube and pool were a winter hit. We will certainly be back. One aside, which has nothing to do with this property in particular, but it would be great if the Shoshone made recycling easier. There are a handful of recycling receptacles throughout the Big Sky Resort itself, but nothing in the condos. So unfortunately everything went in the trash.

Overcharged

This is a very nice condo but there were problems with our unit: many light fixtures in the living area needed replacement bulbs, had to ask for dishwasher detergent, badly needed working humidifiers for dry air and was told vacasa does not provide, went Friday to Monday with smelly kitchen garbage - no pick up on weekends, blanket for sleeper sofa was filthy with stains, broken can opener, appalled that Montana does not recycle- at least that is what I was told. While there was some response to correct these things, given the expense of the unit, there should have been no issues at all. I did not realize when I booked this unit that I was paying a hefty fee to both vacasa and vrbo plus 3 sepatate taxes. By the time I was billed all the fees charged, I was paying 30% of the rental fee. I will never do this again! Very abusive. I will book next time directly with the resort property, same $ and at least we will get robes to wear to the pool!

Great location just steps from lifts. Easy no contact check in and room was ready and clean as promised. Great outside heated pool and having the coffee shop in lobby was handy.
