This newly built, high bank, home is modern but warm and inviting with an open concept and vibrant decor. The full kitchen, living, and dining space each share the stunning water and Cascade Mountains and Mount Baker View. During the evening, you can watch the pink sunset over the mountain range. Enjoy your meal inside, or outside on one of the home's decks and grill on the BBQ. Each bedroom is spacious, one with a water view, and a master bedroom with an ensuite with a large walk-in shower.

What's nearby:
No ferry is needed to access Camano Island, which located less than 30 minutes off the I5. For local wine across the island, you can find Edward Lynne Cellars (22 minutes). Within 10 minutes of the home are Kara's Kitchen and Camano Island Waterfront Bistro for a dinner or lunch out! Camano Island State Park is also just minutes away and offers great hiking trails, picnic areas, and views.

Very unpleasant experience. Not privacy at all.
First of all, my confusion is who manages this property. Vrbo or Vacasa? Looks like it is Vacasa not Vrbo. Keeping that aside, the biggest problem with this property is "Privacy". To start with an example, On a fine Sunday afternoon, I was sitting in the living room with my kids and watching a movie. Someone walked into the backyard and started peeping through the glass doors and windows. My kids were freaked out and my only goal at that time was to keep them safe from such intruders who might cause harm. With that incident, we were totally in shock and upon checking the surroundings of the home, there is no fence or any sort of partition that can restrict neighbors or outsiders to enter from front or backyard of the property. We couldn't step out and play due to that shocking incident, locked all the doors and windows and promptly left the property on our checkout date. I have reported this incident to the Vacasa point of contact and she reached out to the owner but there was no response from the owner and no action from Vrbo/Vacasa. The house itself is very old and not well maintained. The plants were everywhere to your knee height and needed a nice trim in the back and front yard.

Great stay!
Really enjoyed the property. Spacious, clean and nicely done. Just a bit of a drive on the island to get there but worth it; we stay on the island 2x a year and this is definitely one of the nicer properties.

10 Days on Camano Island
Overall the property was as described. Here are our comments for improvements. The combination lock on the gate was VERY difficult to open. The last digit would not turn without getting some kind of tool. The Queen bedroom had a very squeaky door. The Queen and Twin bedrooms need at least a luggage rack and/or shelves or drawers so you can unpack your stuff while there. Area rug in dining room needs to to anchored to avoid curling corners - tripping hazard. The non-stick fry pan was definitely NOT non-stick and a 3 or 4 qt pot would be helpful. Otherwise, we were pleased.

House was beautiful. Management was not.
The house is wonderful - every single other review will tell you why. Management, on the other hand, leaves me wanting more. On night 5 out of our 6-night stay, we asked for an additional roll of toilet paper for each bathroom to hold us over till checkout. Their reply was that they only stock each bathroom with 2 rolls. Ok, sure, but we’re staying 6 nights and we get the same amount of supplies as guests staying 3 nights? I told the mgmt that it’s perfectly reasonable for us to ask for one more roll for each bathroom since we have 5 guests here for an entire week. The mgmt copied and pasted the same reply as before. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve never had this problem before. So, heads up, if you’re staying a bit longer, bring your own toilet paper.

Lovely View
Lovely home with a nice view. Comfortable bed. A comfortable sofa and outdoor chairs on patio would be a nice addition. Gate lock was a bit of a challenge! We did enjoy our time on Camano Island. Temperature was nice and cool.
