Hotel Gota De Sal is in a great location. Close to beach. Upon check in the facility had us checking in on 12/7 rather than 12/3 which I had documentation of. Also booked ocean view room. After some checking Sebastion found a room. Room faced street not ocean. Room looked clean but very outdated. Later that night (Sat. night) live music began at Lauro's. Lauro's is close enough to us to see it. Thought band was playing just outside of our door. Zeppelin cover band that I could actually sing along with it if I wanted to. When over at about 11:30pm I heard screaming outside of our door. Several kids running the pool (steps away from our room) Laughing and screaming. I opened our door three times and said please stop screaming. One of the older kids,10 years old? started high pitch whistling. Then a woman, not sure if her kids or not, started yelling at me and saying they're just playing. I said I don't care if they are playing but they need to stop screaming. Then I went into our bathroom and saw 2 cockroaches on the floor. Aware that they are common in this climate but never in my 25 years of vacationing have I ever had a room with cockroaches. Next morning Sebastion said he could put us in another room after one more night. Next room, ocean side, much better. Tolerable night music, no screaming kids, and no roaches. Overall, I've learned you get what you pay for. Would not choose again. But Sebastion and Lulu, in housekeeping, were great.

The hotel was fabulous, close to the Ocean , quiet

Pros: Cheep and beautiful
Cons: Drying rack for clothes.
Location: One block from the Beach ,could see the Ocean from our Balcony.
We had a wonderful time in April. The food was amazing and so close to the Beach. Felt safe and everyone was friendly.
