They had a pipe burst with no shower water for days we left early. The carpet was very old and beds hard. Staff was very nice and friendly.

OK hostel in central location
Best part of this accommodation is the location! Central to nightlife, restaurants and citysightseeing hub. Facilities are not the greatest but cheap enough to look past. Overall decent hostel with a great view!

very central location and the standard of accommodation was high and good value for the price. Least said about the neighbourhood the better , although it is probably safer than it first appears .

Overall, not bad. Anastasia, who checked us in was awesome. She was so helpful. The building was old and the elevators were iffy but it added to the adventure. If you can not sleep with noise, the street below is very noisy so it could be an issue for some.

I give HomeBase my seal of approval
The location in the city centre was great for me, but the room can be noisy for some people. I had the single "elephant" room in the new section and there was quite a bit of noise from the street, but I am a heavy sleeper so no problem for me. Excellent internet, stable and fast. Cereal, toast and coffee for breakfast, plus some addition like omelette for a small price. Helpful and friendly reception team. Great view from the top floor, I flew my drone from there and took this amazing picture. I would definitely stay there again.

Friendly helpful staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful, you felt like part of the family. Free breakfast but is very basic but the cook will do you something extra for a charge. Is located in the centre of city with plenty of restaurants and night life,

Good backpacker hotel. It had a nice view of table mountain from the rooftop. The private room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were helpful and friendly. Not my favorite part of Long Street but it worked well with our budget.
