New Hostel But Already Great and Improving.
So this is a brand new hostel that only opened in late December so it's still in the process of getting their flow set up. The owner Gabi lives onsite and is super chill, friendly and helpful. He can help book shuttles and rentals, surf lessons etc. He is really putting in the work to get everything up to speed and honestly its amazing how great it is already. From locally made banana bread available to the smoothie bowl breakfast he offers (extra charge but very reasonable). My initial booking was for 1 week and I've already extended it another. The location is great, far enough from the super dusty main road to not be bothered by it but close enough to get to the beach in 5 mins. The ATMs in the area are a bit of a walk however so make sure you get some on the way in. The pods themselves are good, this isn't a place set up to chill in your rooms but the common areas. I really like having some privacy when I'm sleeping, the light and outlets (including USB for your phone) are in a perfect location. And AC!!! Very few hostels I've been to in CR so far have had AC and its a HUGE plus. Overall I definitely recommend Akih. It has a ton of potential to keep improving as well so I hope to get the chance to come back next season and see whats improved!

We were blessed to have had the opportunity to stay at this hostel for almost a week, which happened to be open just a day prior to our arrival. The staff was accommodating, fun, helpful, and caring. The environment is relaxing and has a “homely” atmosphere. My little Malipooh dog was welcome with Love, so they have my heart. If you are looking for simplicity, relaxation and step to the beach, but don’t want to spend a ton for it, this is the place. Have fun & God bless!

Wie gesagt sehr staubig
Guten Morgen meine lieben das Hotel war wunderbar wir haben eine Nacht da geschlafen sauber freundlich das einzige Manko dass die Straßen kaum befahrbar sind und sehr staubig ist also wer Staub Mark kann in diesen Ort reisen oder Abenteuer mag wie gesagt die Straßen sind nicht geteert und fast und befahrbar. Restaurants Bars gibt es sehr viele In der Nähe aber es ist schweineteuer .
