I enjoyed the lovely staff, everyone was so friendly. The resort was very clean and the beach is wonderful. Getting up and having amazing coffee then going to snorkel with numerous fish present, was the best, daily routine. The food was great and the birthday singing along with a delicious treat was a hoot. I hope to return.

The beach is very nice. The resort is rundown. Even though we paid for sun club we were put in building 7 on first floor. Felt like a zoo animal with people walking by. Paid for ocean front and we couldn’t open the curtains so it was like a cave. The room was dirty, splatters on faucet and mirror, hair in the shower. The next morning I insisted we be moved. We were then put in 2nd floor ocean front in building 8 which was sun club building. It was much nicer and had a beautiful view. The food at resort is limited and we didn’t enjoy anything. On Sunday night there were only 2 restaurants as well as the buffet open. The Asian and the Italian were both closed. Long lines waiting for the 2 open restaurants. When we wanted lunch yesterday at 12:30 the buffet was closed. One restaurant open and a line waiting. Only 2 bars are open at night. A small lobby bar that has 6 chairs and a poolside bar with no seating except for poolside tables. There’s a sun club bar by the sun club pool but it closes at 6. Many times we found ourselves waiting for staff, a bartender at a bar or someone to hand out towels, or someone at cafe. Never mind the long line in the sun club lounge (which is basically an office with some water and juices and fruits) just to check in. Sun club is supposed to be special but we just stood there waiting in line to check in. It was 10x faster to go through immigration than to get checked in. The island and ocean are beautiful but would never come back to Sunscape.

We recently stayed for 9 nights. The rooms are dated, but comfortable, clean, and really, how much time are you going to spend in the room? The food was great. Oceana was closed our entire stay but all the others were fabulous. The buffet had lots of the same stuff over and over, but always different things added and so many options as well. The beach had some rocks, but is one of the sandiest on the entire island. Smoking rules were not enforced which was disappointing. Smokers were everywhere, not just in the smoking areas. Evening shows were lots of fun, and the entertainment staff was awesome.

Ok so I started a great review got to 1500 characters and found it cuts it off at that, so here is cut and dry version. Arrived greeted by very kind staff, in fact the staff are all very kind. Upsides, are the outside grounds and landscaping, the restaurants, are all well taken care of. Rooms however are antiquated, and not up to date. Our shower had to be fixed, the toilet had to be snaked, and in general the room (which we upgraded too) was just nothing to brag about. Staff was great, only exception was our experience at the swim up bar was that you had to get out and walk to the walk up bar, seems like they might be short on staff, also get the drinks you like in the morning because by afternoon they are often out of ingredients, bottled water is also a hot commodity so if you see it, get it, you might miss out. Also little things like a stamp to mail a post card are not available, I was referred to the down town post office. All in all it was an "ok" place to stay, with nice people, but non updated rooms. It was not over crowded, and the food was pretty good at each of the restaurants. I would likely not stay here again only due to the rooms, but ultimately still had a really great time. Recommend Mambo Beach just a 5 min walk out the front to the right. We only found it because another couple told us about it, lots of shops and restaurants. So if you go here just know the room might be a bit less then some might expect.

The major selling point is the location and The beach here is amazing. The grounds are beautiful however the rooms are in a major need of updating. The food at the buffet was very disappointing. It filled your belly but was not appealing. Long lines at the restaurants. We waited over an hour to be seated at the steak house and we’re never able to book at the Japanese restaurant as there was never availability The female staff was superb, friendly and so upbeat and happy. The male wait staff and bartenders were not attentive at all. We overall enjoyed our stay but the resort really needs to work out the food issues.

This property was beyond disappointing. The overall property is in dire need of repair. The Sunclub amenities are a joke. The Sunclub deluxe ocean view was not as promised it was a room oveerlooking the pool with both pool and ocean obstructed by trees. The room was filthy. Tables tops werent clean. There was a constant rattling sound from the AC. Restaurants were decent however service was slow. The onsite beach was nice good snorkeling. The staff needs training in regards to hygiene. Bar staff rinsed a used glass off with water and then made drinks and served them to myself and others. Waited over 1hr for room service which never came because they forgot the room number. Overall, this place was not worth the money stay elsewhere!

An old property in need of updates. Food is ok (average) Drinks are the cheapest quality and most cocktails are premixed and not made from scratch. Can be noisy as the staff start really early. I got multiple visits each day wanting to clean the room or drinks guy wanting to replenish. There is no do not disturb cards to use. Trying to have a nap was inconsistent. Some of the beach front accommodations are newer, but the rest of the complex is very dated. Some staff are very pleasant and the odd one a bit grumpy. Entertainment was as you’d expect. Family themed. A 5-10 minute walk is Mambo beach. Lots to see and do there. If you can get a deal I’d stay again as a base. If you’re looking for better quality food, accommodation, etc, I’d spend the extra and book somewhere else.

The staff was great they all went about and beyond to make our stay wonderful. However the property itself is very dated and the food was subsequently very poor quality to say the least.
