The lobby smelled like dirty mop. There was no public quiet space to use a laptop - very small lobby and the dining area/breakfast area too noisy when open. Our room smelled funny. The beds seemed clean and were comfortable. The bathroom was gross - shower had lots of mildew in the grout near the bottom, and the shower door leaks so the bathroom floor had tons of water in it after a shower. Half-used roll of toilet paper was left for us on the roll. Sink was outside the shower/toilet room and crowded with coffee stuff, so nowhere in or out of the bathroom to really put stuff. Missing hook on the back of the door. I called the front desk to ask for extra towels to mop up the floor after our shower. 20-30 minutes later, no towels - even though we were halfway down the hall from the front desk. I called again and she told me they were waiting for me at the front desk - I said I was already in my pajamas, so only at that point did she have someone deliver the towels. Won't stay here again.

I was very surprised that the best Western had a happy hour from 5 to 7. I got a glass of wine and some hors d’oeuvres, which was very nice. The only thing I didn’t like is that the maids were very loud early in the morning. I think it was around 830 and they were clunking around and talking loudly outside my room and I wasn’t able to sleep in like I had planned to. Other than that, everything was fine.

The front desk woman was very friendly and helpful. Asked if we needed info on restaurants, since it was dinner time, and gave me some info.

My husband uses a cane, I apparently booked an upstairs room without realizing it. When the staff was checking us in, she took one look at his cane and asked if we'd like to switch to a first-floor room. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was designed a little awkwardly, with the sink and counter being in the main room instead of inside the restroom, so keeping clothes dry to change into after showering was a little interesting. But not a big deal. The maids were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was okay, I wished they would've had a bit more variety, but the food that they did have was good.
