The location of this Hotel is excellent as it is beside the Grindelwald First cable car. It is also a short walk from the Grindelwald train station where you catch the Jungfraujoch train up to see the glaciers and other attractions at the 'Top of Europe'. The restaurant in the front building offers good food at a reasonable price. Be aware though that for tourists from Australia - Switzerland is VERY expensive.

Location was handy. Nice and small and quaint hotel. Staff super helpful. Simple breakfast but nice (perhaps 2 eggs on offer would be better than 1). Room very spacious with all the amenities I needed. Staff helpful. Super handy to First gondolas. Would stay again.

Clean rooms with beautiful Eiger view
Hotel Alte Post is one of the nicest hotels in the Grindelwald area which is priced in medium range. Located close to city center and max 10 mins walk from the Grindelwald station from where the trains to Jungfraujoch start. The hotel is the cleanliest hotel which we have stayed in our 17 day trip. Offers free parking which many hotels in the area dont. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast can be a bit better with a few veg options. All in all a great and pleasant stay. Make sure to book rooms with Balcony and Mountain view!!

Close to hiking and other activities.
Very nice staff, very clean facilities and comfortable. Great free breakfast with cheeses, eggs, breads, yogurt, etc. Large spacious rooms.
