This was the catfish of all hotel stays. If you are looking for the resort in the pictures, you won’t find it at this hotel. The rooms are from the 1920’s- completed with a clean line of mold on their shower curtains. Not to mention the toilet we had to keep fixing to make the water stop running.
They have 1 restaurant at night that is only open 4 nights a week. The buffet is subpar. Mahi’s is a tiny shack open for lunch and was the only decent food.
The staff was friendly.
We tried to leave after night one but there were no openings at the 5 other resorts we attempted to book. Completely disappointed in the product we were sold vs what we actually got- not to mention for the money we paid.

My wife and I decided like many other couples to go to St Lucia for our honeymoon. We picked Mystique because it’s backdrop was beautiful and the property was tucked nicely against the beach in the far north of the island away from the marinas. We couldn’t help feeling “bait and switched” since the day we arrived. The property like many other resorts in the north of the island was a good 1.5hr drive from the airport. After we were flying 8.5hrs and taxiing for 1.5hrs we attempted to check in at 4:30pm (advised check in start time was 3pm) and we were told the room wasn’t ready, but would be ready *soon*. After we got to the room the outdoor jacuzzi was filled with sand and other debris from the previous guests. None of the bedroom lights turned on except a lamp that was placed conveniently in the corner. During our stay we found out all the restaurant times listed in the welcome brochure were wrong. We also weren’t able to secure a laying spot on the beach because there was always very few loungers available. There were even a limited number of shaded spots at the pool so we spent a lot of time under the shaded bar area. The food wasn’t too bad. The bar service was actually the best part of this resort. The entertainer Chantel tried very hard to keep their unorganized activities together and deserves a lot of credit. Lastly the beach was filled with these “authorized vendors” that would approach you and try to get you to buy cheap necklaces or to try to sell you drugs.

I loved the view and the fact that everything was right there for you. Pool 1 minute from the room... beach 2 minutes from the room. What I didn't like was the water in the shower took long to heat up and there was furniture that I would not call child friendly

Outstanding Service!
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Royal Rex in St. Lucia. The staff was warm, attentive, considerate, friendly and engaging. The welcoming rum punch was a refreshing surprise. Troy and Kurby at the poolside bar were fun, informative and poured a serious piña colada among other delicious drinks! Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Our favorite features included the rain shower and deep soaking bathtub. The location was perfect. We were in walking distance to local restaurants (Wingz & Tingz) and shops and just a short taxi ride to Gros Islet and the Friday night Jump Up, which we highly recommend. Should we have the opportunity to visit St. Lucia again, we will definitely stay here.

I m sorry....never again
This hotel is NOT close to an airport by no means! There is a smaller airport but it is not the one most commercial airlines fly into. You have to take a taxi 2 hours from the airport to get there! $* each way. very unexpected and misleading. the hotel is centrally located in a small town on the north side,
