A cedar hot tub is situated in a very private tranquil part of the section. Please note the hot tub is an additional cost of $30 per night.
This 2-story holiday home offers plenty of space with four bedrooms located on the first floor. Relax indoors in the open plan living area complete with modern furnishings and a great log burner. Enjoy the balcony complete with a BBQ for an easy meal after a day of adventure, followed by a soak in the hot tub.

Local cafes, restaurants, spa treatments, and the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa are all within a few minutes walking distance. Venture out for a bushwalk or go off-road for a mountain bike or 4WD tour. For the adrenaline junkies white water rafting or bungy jumping is on the ‘must-do list.

Bedroom configuration: Bedroom one 1 x queen bed, king single bed with a single trundle bed this can be joined together to make a king bed. Bedroom two 1 x queen bed and a cot. Bedroom three 1x queen bed. Bedroom Four 1x double bed and a king single. For additional guests, there is a single foam mattress and a couch that folds flat suitable for one person.

PLEASE NOTE: The loft is situated above the lounge and access to it is a ladder that requires supervision when children are using it.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your linen (towels/sheets/tea towels)

NOTE: There are security cameras on the exterior of the house, they are located at the front entrance door and the back balcony door.

NOTE: There will be a charge of NZ$150 damage deposit incase the property was left uncleaned

Overall the place was a bit worn but nice, the kids enjoyed the lounge which isn't pictured in the listing.However we did encounter a few issues:The driveway isn't usable for low vehicles - it could definitely do with some maintenance. However as others have noted, street parking is available.The oven door did not close properly - in order for us to use the oven we needed to prop it closed with a chair.The upstairs toilet vent was blowing air with a strong smell of paint/chemicals - we kept the door closed to stop it spreading. The TV remote didn't work properly. Needed to unplug the TV entirely and plug it back in multiple times to get it to work.There is a DVD player, but the DVD's the kids were interested in had been removed - also some of the cases contained xbox games and other random discs. Fortunately Netflix worked well.Bathroom soap dispensers were mostly empty and we couldn't find refills.

The host didn't answer my messages before we arrived. She didn't send me an email outlining what i needed to bring. ( bed sheets, towels and even toilet paper. She was argumentative on the phone when i did finally get hold of her, but calmed down after a while. House wasn't as clean as i would have expected. And the outside rubbish bin was overflowing, with rubbish blowing around that part of the section. I originally booked her house because it had a hot tub. However it was locked up when we arrived. She told me over the phone that it was very clear on the listing that there was an additional charge for using the hot tub. Its actually in the fine print down the bottom of the listing. Being that she didn't reply to my messages before i got there i had no opportunity to arrange for the used of the hot tub anyway. She did offer for us to use it for free, however since the rest of the place was below my expectation of cleanliness I didn't feel comfortable using the tub.Overall a disappointing experience.

lots of empty beer can around the entrance, lots of hair in the shower room.Oven did not work.And we used hot spa, they charged us fix cost for hot tub cover, but that was already old and some parts were broken, we never broken it, we replied, but no response from themPlease take a picture if there is any damage when you arrive there, otherwise they ask you for that.

House was ok, not the cleanest place and I think this is due to tenants cleaning it themselves. Would be cautious if going with a toddler as the cot is set at bassinet height and couldn’t be changed easily. Glad we brought our portacot as the cot wasn’t safe in the height it was set. Also a lot of stairs, including gravel stairs to get to the front door, so be aware if you need easier accessibility. High chair was great, no workable baby gate at the top of the stairs. Had the gate but not the right attachments to install. Location was good.

Not suitable for active kids under 6. The door that blocks the stairs for babies wasn’t working properly so we weren’t able to fit it and block the stairs for the crawling babyThe ladder to the loft is dangerous, I would say that even though there is a sign that says supervision required, there should be a sort of way to block kids to go in there easily unless a certain height. .Specially if your kids are active. It was a nightmare to having to watch them at all times and few tension moments.The property is nice, I would say that needed a proper clean and I feel we left it cleaner than it was when we arrived. And definitely heaps of sandflies inside the house which was annoying.

Advertising says private cedar hot tub and it is included in amenities list but is 30 per day extra. House was very dusty and unclean. Dust may have been from the storm but side of fridge door filthy, bedside table crusty filthy. removed hair from downstairs shower but still blocked - will need drano, shower floor filthy. Floor in front of fridge has had something running out of freezer. All in all we felt like we’d rented a house and were expected to clean it. Communication with owner disappointing and not understanding at all. Have stayed in lots of Bookabach and this was our worst experience. Have never given a bad review before. Would not stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very well stocked kitchen including wine glasses, cocktail shaker and glasses, air fryer, slow cooker, coffee machine, teapot, quality cookware, and basic cooking ingredients. BYO coffee plunger though! The sunny dining area was really nice, and the electric blankets on all the beds were appreciated. The driveway required a high clearance vehicle, we recommend not attempting it in a two wheel drive or in the dark!!

This was a great holiday house for our family.Walking distance to the town, hot pools, mountain bike tracks and walking tracks.House was lovely warm and inviting. Driveway is steap but tou can park on the aide if worried. Wood fire is amazing heats the house well.

Beautiful, great location! Lots of small details that made it a wonderful stay (blankets, games, appliances)! We went mid winter and it was super warm. There is a pretty sharp incline to flat at the top of the drive which will probably scrape the bottom of your car if its not a truck, but the was heaps of roadside parking and its not far at all from the front door!

Lovely house, good location. Only thing we would like to mention is that it could do with a new mattress on the bed left room, double bed, very soft and bumpy when you lay in it with 2 people
