First room smelled like fish - second room had no working air conditioning or telephone. I checked out. Appalling. The staff was nice but the property is awful.

Excellent Location!

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet, Quiet
This location is within walking distance to restaurants and grocery which makes a long term stay much easier. The room was adequately furnished and comfortable. The decor shows that it has been updated but not renovated. I recommend this location if you are looking for cost and convenience.

Pathetic Customer Service!!!

We "stayed" here last weeked (6/12). Check in went smoothly enough. However, later in the evening my neighbor's TV was turned up so loudly we could hear it over our own. This continued despite my four calls (placed between 11:30 PM and 2:45 AM) to the front desk seeking assistance. In fact, the front desk's response was "they're celebrating...nothing I can do about it." No offer to move us, no apologies. So, after phone call number 4 and no sleep we left at 3:00 AM! Leaving our room was like walking down a dorm hallway the night after finals, there were empty beer cases and bottles littering the hallway. I also noticed several half full bags of garbage lying near the elevator in the hallway. I have stayed at hotels coast to coast and never had such a lousy experience at a hotel in my life. Still waiting on a call back from the manager...

Candlewood Suites Houston - Town and Country

Our stay was wonderful! Excellentnt Staff; Took the kids,safe enviornment, walking distance to Pappadeux & the Studio Movie Grill, would definently stay again.
