Beautiful view, comfortable and close to town

Pros: Very reasonable and a fun place to stay
Cons: Many small things need repair.
Location: Perfect location high above the bay. Easy walk to town and the beach.
Have stayed here before and there have been many improvements since then. Can't beat the view of Zihuatanejo Bay from the room. Need to realize that this is an old hotel so some of the creature comforts are a little outdated or missing. Only air conditioning is in the bedroom. Never had any hot water in the shower. Only one TV which is in the bedroom. Nice large room with a balcony for a very reasonable price. We love this place and try to stay here as often as possible.

Great view, comfortable, nice staff

Pros: The view was spectacular as pictured. The staff was very helpful. The bottled water was promptly replaced as needed.
Cons: Correct the hotel description to accurately reflect current conditions.
Location: Walk to a nearby updated resort. Take a taxi into downtown and the Mercado Centro. Buy fish from local fishermen.
We were disappointed when we arrived as the hotel did not have many amentities listed on their description. No fitness center, no hot tub except for one unit, no restaurant or vending machines, or no full-time English speaker on staff. The hotel was not new in 2013. No ice machine on site. A long walk to buy ice. The distances to walk to town and to the beach were not accurate. We had to take a taxi everywhere except to a neighboring resort which did have food service, massages, and entertainment. Not having purified water at the sinks should have been noted. Cooking and cleaning with bottled water was not fun on vacation. Heating water to wash dishes was awful. Our unit had a large jetted soaking tub but the cold water pressure was too low to fill it. Having only 12 units made the hotel seem cozy and friendly. It was easy to meet people. The one dinner put on by the manager and staff was fun and enjoyable. Lots of steps even to the first floor units. Not handicapped accessible.
