My 1st stay here was an example of everything went right. This recent stay, wasn't. I booked the 8 bedded dorm, knowing there's no double decker in that room. On arrival, was told the aircond for that room was not working, fine. They put me in a tiny 2-bedded room, which I need to take the upper bed, fine. Problem: the aircond for that floor had a faulty louver, it can only blow downwards, cool air cannot enter my room at all (the ventilation inlet is ceiling height), the room was very warm, I start sweating minutes after I enter. I request to change to another room (note I never get on my bed at all), and was told I need to topup money. I ended up sleeping at the couch of the common area. Another thing, this place put up a notice saying their dorms are reserved for backpackers aged 18-40, although I still see occupants over the age of 40. But it's best to check with them prior. You won't want to arrive with your luggages and get turn away, telling you to contact your booking agent/website for refund,.
