We have been staying at the Kuleana for over 20 years. We love how quiet it is, the grounds are beautiful, the pool is never overrun with people and the atmosphere is magical. The unit we stayed in was updated however could use a run through of basic kitchen items and necessities. Many were old and not useful. The towels were thin and had holes but all stuff that could be easily fixed. We love it here.

Perfect Location
This was our 4th stay at Kuleana and we love it. From the quiet yet convenient location, the grounds, the pool, and the friendly staff, it really can't be beat! The unit itself is in an excellent ground floor location, with quick access to the pool as well as a nice view of the water. I definitely agree with previous reviewers about the need to replace some items, especially the cookware. We like to cook while in Hawaii (restaurants are expensive!) and it was definitely a challenge in this unit, as the cookware is worn/warped, incomplete/dull knife set, no seasonings, etc. Some of the furniture looks a little dated and needs to be replaced as well, including the couch, the bed, and outdoor furniture. Other than that, it's a very clean, comfortable unit, and I'd certainly recommend it for the value.

Great quiet place!
Nice change of pace from the larger resorts. Loved the pool and found a nice little beach just south of the property. Security worked only in the evening so getting a parking pass was challenging. Could use a tv in the bedroom.

Wonderful ocean view
This was our second stay at this property. It is located on the first floor with the pool close by. The view from the patio is spectacular. It is clean, quiet and perfect for a relaxing getaway. We will go back again!

AlI told the place was well maintained overall and the staff was very helpful good amenities and the location was perfect - ‘BUT’ - during our stay we had numerous cockroaches in our room two on the lanai one in our the room the first day in the closet another one in the room later several in the bathroom couple in the kitchen area one was very interested in the egg pan which we had just used sitting in the sink - and one that was very interested in my drink or at the barbecue - Think I counted around 11 - they all appeared to be half alive likely due to spray treatments - that’s a lot, but I imagine there are a lot more we didn’t see I have been to Hawaii on five other occasions and have never seen a single roach in any of the rooms, Not that I don’t know they like tropical climates in Hawaii but I’ve never seen them in my room or residence during my previous stays - we were forced to clean everything and keep all food and dishes in the refrigerator or the dish washer - (which was out of order)
