You can enjoy the fun and excitement of the Village of Lake George (which is only 10 minutes away) and save money by staying with us at half the cost of staying in Lake George!

If you’re looking for the ritz Carlton,,,,stay elsewhere
It’s a cabin in the woods. Location is great. Away from the congestion of lake George but close enough to go to see things. We were a family of 8 who enjoyed our stay. My 80 year old mom to my 3 year old granddaughter who loves the water. The lake is small enough and clean. Fishing was fun. Everything about this place needs updating and attention. But,,,,it’s a cabin in the woods, on a lake. If you’ve ever owned a cottage, you know what I’m talking about. We brought our own sheets and pillows (as we always do) so for us, we were good. Owner was very nice and never bothered us. With the right amount of maintenance and upkeep, it would be a 5 star, BUT,,,, you’ll pay much more for the time you spend there. We had a great time together as a family.

Condition of Home
Stephen always prompt in responding when I reached out, I appreciated that! The house has alot of potential but needs to be cleaner, de-cluttered and needs an extermination. The sheets I don't think were changed, they were filthy with stains and a ton of huge, nasty spiders, especially I the upstairs bedrooms.

Great waterfront
We had an awesome time. The waterfront is sandy and gently sloping. Great for small kids and hanging around the dock on a hot day. Echo Lake is small, but big enough to tool around in your water toys. Plus, the blue gill are very abundant! There's loads of places to sit and relax outside and inside, which is perfect for a large group. Our dogs also had a blast, although there was no stopping them from dragging in the sand! We just swept each day. Thank you Steve for sharing such a great spot! It's hard to find places like this, especially for the price. Ellen

Nice location
Steve was great to work with!! The location was perfect, just 10 minutes from LG village... the kids enjoyed the lake from sun up to sundown! The house itself needs a lot of TLC... it smellled of fabuloso and cigarettes. I never saw more cobwebs in my life inside and out... the bedroom downstairs has NO AC, We had to buy a fan and the bedframe broke😒... the AC in one of the rooms upstairs barely blew anything... it was not the most comfortable sitting arrangements given the condition of the sofas. The dishes in the kitchen were not clean... The family had a great time! Steve was wonderful but the house needs a lot more attention to cleanliness!

Awful, awful.
As a family we rented both 104 and 102 houses. Both houses were dirty had not been cleaned and my sister and I spent the whole first day of our stay cleaning the property to make it livable. Inside and outside of the house were filled with junk. Almost hoarding situation. The place is full of dangerous conditions. My sister‘s three-year-old grandson fell through the deck at and we had to call the ambulance. My husband stepped on a nail but didn’t report it because everything was so out of control. We left early and will never never return again. If you have small children do not, I repeat do not rent this property I contacted the owner to ask for a refund and have not heard back from him yet. The day of the accident he did give me partial payment because I said I was leaving early. I also reported all of this to the town of Warrensburg, not sure that’s gonna get me they weren’t that helpful as of yet. Do not stay here!!! We alerted VRBO as to our experience and are waiting back for some kind of solution to this problem.

Summer fun!
Property was nice. Steve, the owner, was very friendly when we arrived and left. We did not contact him while we were there as we had no issues and we only saw him when we arrived and left. The lake was beautiful and the kids had a great time swimming, peddle boating, canoeing and kayaking. The lake was large enough to have fun but small enough we could keep an eye on everyone from shore. Firewood was provided. We went out to Lake George for the day as it is less than 15 minute drive. Overall had a great experience and would not hesitate to do it again. We brought our chocolate lab and found the rental to be both kid and pet friendly. Thanks for a great time Steve!

Disappointed
Like others have said about this property, it's dirty and unsafe for children. The second we arrived we had to go buy cleaning supplies. Strong odor of febreeze when you walk in to make you think it's clean, but it's far from clean. We had toddlers and babies . We had to vaccum, mop. Do dishes, wash all the beds. I won't mention everything we did because it's too long. I would never book this rental had I known the state of it. The BBQ is dead so that was false advertising. The deck has nails sticking out of it all over. I've stayed in 15+ rentals in my life, I've never come close to anything this dirty. The house has such potential, please hire a cleaning crew. The only positive is the beach park accross the lake, and this rental has access and that's it.

Dirty but fun.
The floors were quite dirty when we arrived. We spent a couple hours vacuuming and cleaning the place up when we first arrived. The more we looked, the more dirt we found. The place was not well-equipped for cleaning, so we picked up supplies from a local store. The beds were made, but with dirty sheets, so we washed them. The showers were dirty, so we cleaned them too. The waterfront was similarly unkempt but well supplied with boats. There were half a dozen kayaks, 2 canoes, 2 paddle boats, and a sailboat. More boats were available upon request. The lake is beautiful and clear. I would be comfortable swimming in it, but not in the immediate vicinity of the docks due to discarded pool ladders and other debris under the water. Cooking was challenging but fun with friends. Electric stoves are hard to work with, and this was no exception. The extended countertop requires a back-straining lean to use the sink. Luckily there is a working dishwasher, so you don't have to do all the dishes by hand. The place was inexpensive, and felt inexpensive. We are satisfied overall and got what we paid for. Steve was apologetic about the cleanliness and offered compensation. I wouldn't recommend this place for small children. But if you know what you're getting in to, you won't be disappointed!
