Beautiful hotel

We had so much fun on our first trip to Vegas staying at MGM Grand. The hotel was so beautiful and had everything we needed. Shows, countless food options, the casino, everything was great. We had THE best room. High up and could watch the airplanes take off and land across the road. Could everything for miles. It was so perfect. We would sit in the two chairs in front of the windows and drinking the alcohol from the fridge! LOVE! The parking was a bit of a walk, but it was all within a parking garage so not in the elements and we felt safe. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

Honestly, the room was comfortable, clean, staff very kind and helpful. Really disappointed there wasnt any fridge, safe or coffee maker in the room for the price of the upgrade to a nicer room. Even to stay in a cheaper hotel those things are provided.

In general, the hotel is nice. Some positives are: -The garage is very convenient. -The garage fee is reasonable and lets you park in all MGM hotels which is great. -The convenience of having monorail station is a plus. -There is a choice of restaurants and food court eating options. Some negatives are: -The casino is very close to the entrance of the hotel, thus cigarette smoke hits you immediately. -The resort fee is high and includes items that visitors from the US do not need, such as newspapers, wifi, printing. -The room does not have amenities you find in hotel of lesser quality, such as fridge, coffee, even shower caps. -The water pressure in the shower is low. -There is a note in the bathroom to save water, however, the hotel has water parties from 11-6 daily.

First time staying at MGM in Vegas. It is a very nice hotel. A step down from the fanciest ones on the strip, but still very nice. Great restaurant options, good layout, helpful and pleasant staff. A newer attraction is the virtual reality game which was quite fun and I may seek it out next time in Vegas even if not staying at the MGM. It was the first time I had done anything like that and had a blast. One of the reasons we choose MGM is for the pool. Unfortunately the lazy river portion was closed and under repair. So it took away some from the experience with less options and noise. Overall I would recommend the MGM and we enjoyed our stay.

The resort fee was not warranted as I did not utilize any of the facilities, was not told what the fee was for during check in. The buffet did not offer any breakfast except pork (which I do not eat) and 1 turkey product (sausage) that was cold and nasty. Unrealistic price for a poorly executed breakfast. I am diabetic and over 55. My room was exactly 166 steps from the elevator. This was my 8th trip to Vegas and based on this experience, my last.

Great Hotel and Casino

Hotel was wonderful. Overall very clean. Staff was very nice. Good variety of restaurants. Saw several shows they were all great. Pool area was very nice although the lazy river wasn't open which is one of the only reasons I chose this hotel. but even with that disappoint overall experience was great!

Disappointing

Pros: The hotel room was clean.
Cons: Air filters. Coffee and Frig in room. Provide a detailed receipt. Explain in advance that your lazy room is closed.
Location: Location is good. The virtual reality game was a lot of fun. The monorail and uber connections were convenient.
The positives were: *Quick and Easy check in and clean room. That's it. The negatives: *Super expensive food, drinks and basically anything purchased in this hotel.// *The smell of stale cigarette smoke was awful. My son (a smoker) even said it smelled. I understand the casinos allowed smoking but you had to walk through a cloud of it every morning and evening and all the other hotel casinos we visited did not smell as bad as MGM. They claim the restaurants are non-smoking but there are no walls preventing the casino from the restaurants so we decided to eat our meals elsewhere. *The also said they would send me an itemized receipt with all my room charges which they did not. I am still waiting two weeks later. (and no, it is not in my spam folder) // *I left behind a dress pair of pants in the closet which they made no effort to return or acknowledge.// *No in room coffee. ? Seriously, for that price, not even a free cup of coffee? *The iron didn't work (hence leaving the pants in the closet) *The bathroom sink was clogged the first day. The doors slammed loudly when closed so all night I could hear my neighbors coming and going, and there were several times it was so loud it sounded like our own door! *No fridge unless you spent $20. If you put anything in their fridge, including insulin, they charged you a re-stocking fee! *There was a hidden safe in the drawer, which we could not open. I travel 6 times a year so I'm familiar with hotels, this hotel failed.

MGM pool sadness!!

Pros: Lots of dining and entertainment options.
Cons: Pools hours are ridiculous!! And the smoke was terrible throughout the casino.
Location: Great location across from the NY-NY. And the monorail station was a big plus!!
We had a great stay. The room was very nice and clean. The Hotel was huge and impressive. Lots of fine dining or food court options. Shops, bars, gaming... it had it all. Our only real disappointment was the pool. The whole lazy river was demolished. There were a few other pools which were packed with kids during the day. So we figured a evening swim would be better. We get there to find the entire pool area CLOSED at 6 pm!!! We live in Washington State and YES, it does rain all the time! So a few hours at a pool sounded amazing but what a HUGE let down! P.S. Another bummer... The Lions don't live there anymore!!
