The lobby was cool. Our room was disappointing, it smelled so bad like they were trying to mask the smell of the original carpet to the building. It looked like a crime scene on that carpet, it was very damp, we couldn't let our 2year old crawl around.

Not as it seems

It seemed to be a good deal when I booked it, but it actually was not. I was charged the hotel room price (tax and fees included) upon booking on Travelocity, and it specifically said I would need to pay the resort fee of twenty-five dollars per accommodation per night at the hotel. However, when I actually checked in, the hotel asked me to pay a deposit which they said would be refunded to me. After a night of stay when I checked out, I was charged a parking fee of thirty dollars (which I had not been informed prior to this moment) in addition to the "boutique fee" of twenty-five dollars (which I supposed was another name for the "resort fee" as mentioned on Travelocity). Everything cost in the hotel room, including the bottled water. The hotel room was furnished with only one small table, one chair, one side table, the TV and the safe in the closet besides the bed; there was no sofa; there was no fridge; there was no air con in the hotel room, but a ceiling fan; the carpet was sticky. The bathroom seemed clean. I could hear people yelling on the street and car alarm going off in the middle of the night, and that made me feel worried about my car parking in the parking lot which was a lot that the hotel shared with its neighbors.

right on the beach

We wanted a decent hotel right on the beach at Venice. the rooms are very scaled down. we upgraded for a slight ocean view and a ceiling fan. The hotel is right in the middle of Venice beach activity and shops. The ocean is right there and the bistro right across the street is wonderful. They mixed up our reservation with our daughters and the inexperienced staff stressed her out during her graduation at USC. But the manager was gracious and took care of everything. I wish it hadn't happened but we ended up ok. Lots of homeless people. And the parking is a challenge

Convenient location on the boardwalk and beach.

Pros: Only the convenient location.
Cons: The sterile room decor.
Location: Great location with convenient eateries,entertainment, and shopping with the beach so close.
H,orrible parking Horrible parking, often blocked in and having to search for owners of cars blocking you in after paying twenty-five dollars a day for in and out parking.

Old hotel, friendly staff

Old run down hotel. High of 103 during the day but no ac on room. Venice beach is dirty full of homeless people At every corner. Staff is very friendly but I would not recommend my family to stay here.
