Had to stay in Beaver Dam for buisness. Really wanted to take a shower but the mat had mold under it and all around the shower had mold aswell. Walking up to my room the door was left open also the whole floor smelled of bad Marijuana and stall cigarettes. Instantly dropped off key cards inside and went out the back door. Nothing like the pictures, very upsetting.

This place is disgusting ! Pay the extra money to go somewhere else. Hair in the bathroom, left over food in the fridge. And worst of all their sheets are beyond gross and need to be burnt !!!!! There is no reason the sheet should have more than one stain on it!!! Looks like they never been cleaned and they can easily be taken off and bleached. Housekeepers should be disappointed in themselves leaving sheets on the bed looking as gross as they did!! This is coming from a former house keeper!!!! You gotta do better this is nasty especially during Covid season I will never come back !!!

Decent hotel, but with safety concerns

Pros: The location was good: near the highway, dining, shopping, and attractions.
Cons: Make the smokers move away from the entrances.
Location: Beaver Dam Lake, Fox Lake, swimming, kayaking, Amish baked goods
This was a decent, budget hotel. It was good enough. Luxury wasn't one of my requirements. The biggest thing I want to address is the fact that due to Wiconsin's state law prohibiting smoking inside hotels, the smokers congregate just outside the entrances, forcing other guests to run a gauntlet of smoke as they enter the hotel. Also, arriving guests feel vulnerable, as they have their hands full of luggage as they walk past strangers. Also, I noticed that side doors were sometimes propped open so that smokers could come and go. At once entrance, someone had taken a chair from a hotel room out to the doorway to make an impromptu "smoker's lounge." The hotel should force smokers to retreat from the entrances, and smoke at least 50 feet away from the building.
