The SLS has seen better days. I would frequent this hotel three to four times a year in recent times. I will never go back. The rooms are still so small. Not enough chairs at pool and overall customer service has declined. Show up at pool in the morning and there is still trash around. They run out of ice water at pool and you have to tell three employees before it is replenished. Stand at front desk waiting while the staff is having a personal conversation. The Customer service has slipped to unacceptable levels. Better choices in South Beach.

I normally don’t write reviews but this was a horrible experience. The room I booked in this hotel is the smallest room I’ve ever been in. Smaller than a Tokyo apartment and the not fit for human habitation. I asked for an upgrade and the only response was $50 per night. The desk apologized upfront for “catfishing” me and my wife. No special amenities at this hotel and everything is extra including a $350 pool party pool chair (no kidding). Not even an adequate lobby space.This hotel should have been demolished back in the 70’s.

In regards to your concerns about the pool, we have 2 pools on property in which our guest pool there is no charge.From your review I see that you wanted a complimentary upgrade which was not granted, we did offer an upgrade at a discounted price.
