"The cabin was a good space for a family of 4 for a weekend getaway. Would have liked more and improved kitchen utensils and pans. Long wait for front desk to checkin & checkout but the staff was very friendly. Beautiful area!"

"I know, I too was skeptical about ALL of the 5-star ratings for Post Office Ranch, but my 15yr old daughter and I stayed there for a week during our ski trip to Monarch Mountain. I will tell you that it is NOT a 5-star hotel, but rather a 5-star EXPERIENCE! I couldn't have picked a better place to stay! Logistically, it is an easy hour from the airport in Gunnison, the perfect distance from town and a short drive to the slopes. The view of the mountain range from the cabin is breathtaking. The river was absolutely beautiful and shallow enough that I didn't have a safety concern for my daughter. The wildlife was plentiful, including a fox and several deer that would come within about 50 yards of the cabin. The horses were very curious and friendly (We named them all on day 2). We received about 2-3 feet of snow on our first day but received a call from the very friendly property owner that morning to let us know that he was plowing the road so we could get out and about later that day. The cabin was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed for the week. It took me several days to stop "Missing" the ranch but really look forward to bringing the rest of the family next year!"
