A Basic Room

Got a very good room rate and so can't complain about the room. The room was very dated and worn, but clean and comfortable. Room definitely needs a redo. But have paid more at this hotel and received a nicer, renovated room. You get what you pay for.

Good Location, Dated Room

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Location, location, location is what the marketers always say... Well, that's partially the story here. This hotel is definitely in a mostly good location. Right off the Berri-UQAM metro station... Very easy access and also very close to the 747 Express bus stop and lots of restaurants nearby. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer questions. That said, the hotel is quite dated... facilities (ice machine, drinks, etc.) are only on certain floors or out dated. There are lots of restaurants (including a 24h McDonalds) nearby so food is not a problem. There is a drug store and a supermarket nearby. And finally the last disadvantage is that it is right off the Berri-UQAM metro station (where the student protests were held in early 2012). There are also a lot of homeless people in the area. As long as you take the standard traveller precautions, you should not have any issues.

This hotel was smelly

For the price this hotel was well below standard. The room had a number of things not working. The shower fan sounded like a 747 and the was no temp adjustment in the room.

close to the action

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
This hotel is perfect if you want to be close to the action, subway , The village, bars, etc.. It is a nice hotel but the rooms are very average. I was expecting a bit more for the price I paid. Since I was visiting the area , the hotel was perfect for me because I never took any cabs and the subway was very close to visit other areas of interest. My room was pretty quiet and I was surprised since you are next to Sainte-Catherine. I would recommend it.

Pros: Convenient location
Cons: Maybe the bathroom area. Seemed a little outdated.
Location: Plenty to do. Shopping & restaurants were very close.
Hotel is at a great location for F1 fans. Just a short walk to metro thru hotel lobby and one stop to the track. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was convenient as well if you are driving. It was about $21 dollars/night. Food courts are also conveniently located thru the hotel lobby. Many restaurants to choose from outside the hotel as well within a short walking distance.

Our room smelled a little like a gym locker room.

The beds are comfortable but it was not a clean room. I think the smell was coming from the bathroom and the old dirty carpeting which was stained in a couple areas. I have stayed here before, but don't think I will again. Side note the breakfast buffet was pretty good!

Mold and Rust in the tub and the Bathroom

Pros: Nothing
Cons: Update the rooms and clean the bathrooms.
Location: There are plenty of restaurants nearby.
While hotel stuff was fairly pleasant, the hotel room was really old and not updated. There was mold and rust in the bathtub, as well as a crack. The toilet cover was coming off. The bed was old and uncomfortable. I don't recommend this hotel.

Nice clean secure hotel and close to Gay district.

Pros: As above
Cons: Room only had a shower, missed a leisurely bath! A small fridge in room would have been appreciated.
Location: Walking distance to subways, gay village, and entertainment
Staff were excellent, rooms were very clean and comfortable.
