Great locale, nice hotel, indifferent staff!

Everything about the stay was very pleasant up until 8 am on my last day. Very loud and unpleasant construction began and continued. When I called downstairs, the staff was unapologetic and said there was nothing they could do. A courtesy of informing those booked for that time would have been appropriate in advance. Very disappointing end to an otherwise good stay.

Comment from Hotel Management

Dear guest, Thank you for choosing our hotel and taking the time to share your experience. I am sorry about the inconveniences you experienced on your last day. Indigo park, who owns the underground parking is currently undergoing renovations, which can occasionally cause some noise. I apologize we did not get the chance to inform you before your stay and can assure you the renovations will be over very soon. I wish we will have the pleasure to welcome you again in Novotel Montreal Centre, Sincerely Tom

Nice hotel close to everything

Very nice location, only bad thing is the furniture, scratches need replacement and breakfast should be included in price.

Made My Trip Memorable

It was an amazing experience at Novotel. Choosing Novotel was like an Icing on the Cake.

comfy and modern

Pros: Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
Novotel is in the center of downtown and not far from the subway system. With that being said, I had a car and only traveled by it. They didn't have their own parking structure and is sharing it with the hotel next door. They charged us $22 a day with a pass that allows us to come and go as we please. Overall, it was a great experience, comfortable and modern decor. I would recommend this hotel for someone who doesn't want to entirely splurge on a hotel but is willing to spend a little for the small comforts of a clean room, nice decor, and good location.

My family and I were well received, friendly staff and very accommodating

We were too busy preparing the decorations for the wedding ceremony and reception , all in all we did not have much time to critisize the hotel. I have no complaints. The wedding came off beautiful.

Excellent hotel

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
We had an enjoyable stay. Everything was modern and up to date. Staff were friendly and worked to accommodate our schedule. Our room was very clean, looked great and was bedbug free! (which was one of my main concerns when choosing a hotel) The location is perfect, near shopping, public transit, and of course the bell centre (which was even closer than I expected). I would definitely stay here again!

Hidden Fees

Pros: Close restaurants
Cons: hidden fees
Hotel was in the right area to visit. Very convenient, somewhat clean, and reasonably priced. However, coming from another country, paying for a package trip, arriving and finding out that an additional fee is needed, is not a friendly way of treating guests. It was assumed all charges were paid for before starting the trip. A notice should have conveniently been written on the hotel part of the package. Bad business means bad taste. Can't recommend until hotel policy is fixed.

awesome location Downtown

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Novotel offers the best in a downtown Montreal Hotel. Rooms are enjoyable, clean and quite. Right in the heart of downtown with St. Catherine's to your left and the Bell Center to your right. In House restaurant has awesome breakfast buffet. indoor parking is good. Good Rates!
