Awesome place... excellent staffs! It is worth the visit and stay at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites

Great looking hotel

Staff was great and responsive to our needs however was dissapointed with some maintenance aspects. The toilet had issues, the TV remote didn't work (but they reprogrammed a new one), the sink was very clogged and the key card was deactivated before 7 am so we were locked out when we tried to come back from loading the car before breakfast. Pretty location, rooms were clean and breakfast was great. My husband loved the pancake machine.

Great patio and pool.

Loved the back patio and rocky hillside behind the hotel. The pool was great too. Would definitely book again.

Not worth $200 a night

Pros: The room was big, plenty of room.
Cons: Please buy new beds!! They are very uncomfortable!!
Location: Right in the middle of town. Very easy to find and close to food and attractions.
We booked one night in a suite for 4 people. The room was big but the beds were terrible! They were as hard as a board! The bathroom was very nice! Huge bathtub that was deep so you could take a nice bath. The shower head was wonderful, it had five or six different settings. Plenty of room all around I just wish the beds were more comfortable! That is the one thing I look for especially when I pay a lot for one night! We all woke up the next morning not having slept very well at all. We had a full day planned and a 3 hour drive home, but we were all dragging the entire day which made our trip very long and somewhat unenjoyable. Have you ever been on a trip with tired teenagers?? They have a nice continental breakfast layout. Lots of options but the food was not very good. The juices were very watered down and the bacon was tasteless and less than paper thin. They have a machine that spits out fresh pancakes which was interesting! They tasted ok. All in all I would not stay there again. I think we would have slept better in a tent at least we would have been prepared for that!

Nice hotel. Great location to explore the hills

Pros: Free Internet, Free breakfast, great location
First time at this hotel. Custer is a wonderful town in a great location to explore the sites of the Black Hills of SD. Had a little difficulty with parking as we overlapped with the beginning of the 2012 Sturgis Bike Rally. But the hotel clerk helped us out with a space.
