I made a couple of special requests that they were not receptive to, but they were polite and courteous. Breakfast buffet is not great. Having one restaurant and no real bar is also a minus, but it’s close to Shinjuku station, which puts all of Tokyo in reach.

Hotel Gracery is a great place to stay and write on the edge of Kabukicho in Shinjuku. The area is always lively, and I would recommend adult travelers to stay there. I have no trouble finding food at all hours of the day, and it is convenient walk to the metro. I would definitely stay there again on a return trip.

The hotel is well maintained and comfortable. They have a good cleaning routine although a little excessive if you don’t want the room cleaned every 3 days and even if you don’t want your room cleaned you still got fresh towels and water daily (we had quite a pile of towels by the end the claim to be eco friendly seems a bit of a miscommunication). The rooms are a little small when you have cases you have to make room for the cleaners. Check in and out was easy. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel which was good for breakfast though we only did this once and there is a 7-11 right by the exit. This gets busy but has everything you need. You are also next door to toho cinemas. The train station was less than a 10 minute walk but make sure you go for the east exit otherwise the station is a warren. The Godzilla terrace being closed was a disappointment
