This Theme Hotel was Fine... Centrally Located one block from Times Square and a few blocks from multiple subways... My main problem with this Hotel was staff related.. One staff member in particular was very unaccommodating at check in with out even asking for my name or reservation claimed there were no rooms available for early check in, I can understand that as the hotel was small but not even bothering to ask my name was strange nor to offer any luggage drop off was frustrating... not a great way to start a 6 night stay at a hotel...that was not cheap I might add another night same employee told me i had too many quests in my room 3 and that one would have to leave. Who ever heard of such a thing!!! When i complained later about the rude employee everything seemed to go better with other staff... my guess is this is that the other employs tolerate his bad behavior Obviously Night Hotel will not be getting any more of my money since that is the only way i can protest bad service is to not support them.

Incredibly small rooms, even by NYC standards. One very small and very slow elevator for the entire hotel. Despite "Free Wi-Fi," you can't connect in the rooms due to poor signal strength. No accessible plugs/outlets near the bed. This is ridiculous for 2018. The metal lamps on the bedsides will burn the crap out of you if you touch them. Incredibly Dangerous! Visible mold on the bathroom ceiling. The hotel provides bath towels only - no hand towels, no wash cloths. Very, very odd. No umbrellas available for use. Very limited AC in the lobby - it's unbearably warm.

Nice hotel right off Times Square

I thought this was a great hotel! One block off of Times Square, but surprisingly quiet and restful! The rooms were small yes, but it's Manhattan! Good for a couple but I wouldn't bring my kids here. Very reasonably priced. I will definitely stay here again!

Cool spot; caveat for non-smokers

Very cool black-and-white decor (and Timorous Beasties wallpaper!); our room was small but well-designed and comfortable. Heavy blackout drapes were much appreciated! All staff we met, even by chance in the elevator, were friendly and helpful. One complaint: our room smelled heavily of cigarettes. We thought at first it had maybe been poorly cleaned, or that the smell was coming from somewhere else - we didn't deliberately choose a smoking room - until just before we left and found an ashtray. On checkout, the staff explained (quite apologetically) that the eighth floor was all smoking rooms, and that in future we should call ahead to specifically request a non-smoking room.  We're just so used to hotels being smoke-free, or at least making clear which rooms are designated for smoking, that this would never have occurred to us. No one mentioned that it was a smoking room on check-in. This is a good hotel, but call ahead if you don't want to feel like you're sleeping in a cheap motel in the '70s.

Small and stylish

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
Cons: No free Internet
Sure, the hotel is small but stylish and elegantly gothic as all heck. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great for a visitor, it's very close to Time Square and the theater district with plenty of choices for eating from a cafeteria style place and plenty of fancier options. The room was quiet with ambient lighting, not to mention very clean.
