Good place missing basics
This was a great house with plenty of space. Parking was on the street. It was a city neighborhood but all the neighbors seemed friendly and we felt safe. Upon arrival there were only 5 plates, 5 bowls, 5 towels and 1 wash cloth for a listing that sleeps 6 people. The property manager was notified and came within a couple hours to rectify this(bringing plates, bowls and towels), however had no extra wash clothes available. The kitchen could use more basics such as a can opener, toaster, dish drainer. I would mention also that the backyard is in disrepair (with a broken pool) and am surprised they don't just restrict access to it.

The house itself was clean inside but the yard was poorly cared for. The communication with the host was terrible. There were no instructions for check-in, check-out, the tv, wi-fi, etc. The cabinets were pretty bare, with 1 plate to be shared between 4 people and the coffee machine was basically a single serve drip machine.

Not clean, smells moldy
I really wanted to like this place. You can tell someone tried to fix it up and make it more updated and appealing, but it was done pretty sloppily. The backyard is unusable. The neighborhood wasn’t the best… we were jokingly hoping that our car would still be there in the morning. I would be able to overlook those things if the place had been clean, but it wasn’t. As soon as you walk in, you are hit with a smell that definitely isn’t healthy. It smelled like an old basement that had flooded and not been cleaned up after. I’m fact, we all had coughs while we were there in the house. Second off, it wasn’t cleaned. There was syrup on the dining table and floor. There was hair in the shower, in the drain, on the window sills, etc. My daughter walked barefoot for ten minutes, and her feet were filthy… not just darkened, but they had a ton of hair, dirt, and crumbs on them. It literally made us wonder if anyone had even changed the sheets! We double checked them when we went to bed. So, just know what you’d be getting into if you book this property. There’s probably a better fit for your needs.

It was close to the falls, neighborhood was not great. The house had very little cookware, a tiny 4 cup coffee pot with filters for a large pot. All of the furniture was broken. Could not use one of the beds at all and my son-in-law slept on the mattress on the floor. Only 1 couch in the living room and it was broken. Dog hair under beds and in corners, etc.

Needs some work....
We visited this home, during a quick family vacation to Niagara Falls. It is a inner city location with the homes close together. The home is on a corner, but did not have numbers signaling the address so we had to drive by twice. Inside the home was simple but fitted our needs for the most part. The kitchen could use a few more things like a colander to drain noodles, a few more pots, etc. We always cook most of our meals, at a VRBO, so it was disappointing to only have the most basic items. There was a dishwasher that was not connected, it would have been nice if they just put a simple "out of order sign" The back yard was a disaster and we would not let our kids near it. There was a broken pool, and deck that we felt was a safety hazard as a child could have easily fallen inside. It didn't look like the property had been mowed or trimmed in quite awhile. As for communication, the owner was quick to respond to requests but did not give out any check-in information until I requested it after check-in time. We were traveling from out of state and having to request it 10 minutes out made us both a little uncomfortable. Overall, I would not recommend to friends or family simply for the outside and lack of kitchen items.
