Traveled in January, 2 people. Why are people hating on this place? Here is an honest review: 1st; the bad. So a few drops of blood on a pillow case, no big deal, got a new one the next morning. First morning there; no water. We were on the 6th floor and I think all the water was down. It's a Mexican infrastructure thing, deal with it. We came back to our room in the afternoon and it was back on. Dinner reservations; so for every 3 nights stay you can book at the restaurant, we were there for 7 days so we got three bookings. Italian once and Japanese twice, once tableside and once sushi. Did not do the Mexican place due to what we hear about it and there is plenty of Mexican food all around. Yes, the lady doing the resevations is, well, "reserved" but not rude by any means. She has a lot to do on Sunday morning at 9:00am when you queue up to book. Don't lose your braclet. Duh! It's a chipped token that serves as your room key and all else. You lose it, you pay $100. They tell you this at check in. We wrapped dental floss around ours for extra protection. The buffet food; yeah, it's hit and miss, but you can always find somethig to eat throughout the day and for the times you do not have reservations, it worked fine for us. Never got sick, came close to a chipped tooth however. The good; check in was a breeze, but there was no line for us. The gentleman that checked us in was more than wonderful!!! An expedia will not allow a longer review, sorry.

Staff were excellent, hard working, friendly, attentive, happy. On our way to dinner, we reported our slow draining bathroom sink and it was fixed by the time we returned 2 hours later! The staff in the Royal Level were amazing, always remembering our preferences and aimed to please. Special thanks to Jesus, Tito, Rafael and Manuel. Also Margarita at the outdoor lunch buffet and the guys at the Royal Level pool, beach and bar.
