They charged me 20 dollars because I was 2 hours early for check in and I asked them for consideration. Other hotels don’t charge, I had stayed at a Hampton Inn over the weekend and wasn’t charged for early check in.

We do have an early check-in and late check-out fee, just as some hotels charge for parking and we do not. Every hotel has its own set of rules.

All staff I had contact with were friendly and courteous. My suite was clean and inviting . No complaints here!! Would definitely stay there again when in the area .

The hotel was good and I got a nice price thanks to a discount from Travelocity. I loved that the fee for a pet was just $25 a day. There is the $300 hold on your credit card which isn’t such an issue. The hotel room we stayed in was pretty clean which means I’ll definitely stay again. I’m one of those peoples who notices the cracks and crevices and if hair is left over on the bathroom floor etc I can’t relax. Thankfully the bathroom floor was clean and I know this because I wiped the entire floor down with a Lysol wipe before my cat stepped on the floor (I keep her in one room in this case the bathroom to limit her stress). I also love that this is a great spot that isn’t far from too many things like the Palisades Center where you find every single store, you’re a 22 minute drive from Bear Mountain State park, 17 minute drive to Lake Welch Beach, there are so many options for shopping. Check out Rockland Bakery. Overall pleasant stay. Will stay again.

Hot Water Would Have Been Nice
Pros:The room was nice... good thing we had a kitchenette so we could heat some water up to wash and shower.
Cons:The staff could have been friendlier and more hospitable.
We were only there for one night and everything would have been fine if there was hot water.
We woke up the morning of our stay to no hot water. Called the front desk to find out that the whole hotel was out and when asked when it would be restored the young man said he didn't know, but that 'they' had been notified 15 minutes ago and were on their way (so no onsite maintenance or it was beyond them).
We checked out about 45 minutes later and not only was no one yet on site, there we absolutely no effort made on their part to show empathy, let alone offer a discount for our inconvenience.
Oh... and if you are disturbed by trains, there's a fairly busy track right behind the hotel....

Too many policies....
I would not return to this hotel. Too many long term residents staying here. Hotel had a policy that they would not clean your room if you were not staying a week. I could not check in at 1PM because my room was not ready until 3 PM. This is diffiicult when you are traveling long distance. Finally I could not get clean towels at 7:30 PM because they were not dry.

More than expected
Room was nice. Had a kitchenette, recliner, table and chairs, DVD and VHS player, basicly everything we needed. Bathroom was nice but bathtub was dingy and had a rusty showerhead. The complimetary CD and Video library has only some outdated films. Internet service was not high speed, but was OK. Staff is very helpful.
It is not a five star hotel, but it is a friendly, nice, clean, (and reasonably priced) place to stay.
I would recommend this hotel to friends.
