The room was quite run down and a giant sewer roach showed up in the shower. The door seal had a big gap along the bottom, so maybe that's where the roach came in. It was good to have an airport shuttle by a very nice woman and front desk was nice. However, I called the day before inquiring about early check in and the woman said if something was available I could check in at noon for no extra. When I arrived, they said it would be $65 more. The highlight was the Chinese restaurant at the hotel, which was superb with good portions! Couldn't wait to eat there for dinner, after we had a great lunch there. The nearby park along the ocean was nice to walk along and watch the windsurfers. All the HNL hotels have a "resort fee" which is total BS. Covers housekeeping and pool supposedly. Should just be part of the price.
