Our cozy and comfortably furnished holiday home is located in a quiet side Rhine valley in the heart of the romantic Middle Rhine and UNESCO World Heritage, 1 km from the Rhine. Thus, an ideal location for exploring the many castles and monuments in the Rhine Valley. Oberdiebach is a small village with about 800 inhabitants and beautiful old half-timbered houses. The Gothic parish church St. Mauritius, built in 1330, is also worth a visit.

Wineries offer the typical local Riesling wine. Hiking trails in and around Oberdiebach with commanding views to the valleys, to the ruin Furstenberg and on the Rhine, invites you to walking and hiking. The "Rhine castles' trail runs directly behind the house. A special attraction is the trail to the, in an open pasture landscape living, Exmoor ponies. For our little guests there is a nice playground near the house.

Not far from Oberdiebach (about 2.5km) is Bacharach with its historic old town. From here, there are many opportunities to explore the World Heritage Site Upper Middle Rhine Valley. For example, with a boat trip along the many castles, towards the famous Loreley rock. Or up the Rhine in the direction of Bingen / Rüdesheim.





The beautiful bike path along the Rhine, which can be reached by Oberdiebach out in 5 min., Invites to bicycle tours with many attractions and breaks at the beautiful Rhine beaches. The Rhine Valley offers a variety of hiking trails with beautiful views. On the doorstep we have the "Rhine castles' trail. Right bank of the Rhine runs the famous hiking trail "Rheinsteig".





Bingen can be reached by car in 15 minutes. Here you have the opportunity to travel by ship to the other side of the Rhine, and to visit the charming wine town Rüdesheim with the famous Drosselgasse.





For families worth visiting the 13km distant High Wildlife Park Hunsrück. Also the 15km distant Kletterwald Lauschhütte ensures adventure. Leisure pools can be reached in 10-15km distance.





From July to September, the fireworks spectral "Rhine in flames" takes place in several cities in the Middle Rhine Valley.

Feriendomizil mit Vollausstattung

Sehr freundliche Vermieter und ein Reisedomizil mit Vollausatattung. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und die Wohnung sogar einen kleinen integrierten "Kiosk" mit dem Nötigsten. Wir können es mit bestem Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Schön und super ausgestattet

Das Haus ist geräumig, schön eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Alles ist sehr sauber. Die Badezimmer sind ganz neu. Es ein gemütliches Dorf am Rhein. Die Vermieter sind vor Ort und sehr hilfsbereit. Es gibt über eine alte Straße einen Weg ohne Autos runter zum Rhein und von dort direkt am Rhein entlang. Oder man geht rauf in die Weinberge mit Blick über das Rheintal.

Superverblijf

Vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer. Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig. Bijzonder is de Mini supermarkt in het huis. Daar staat veel wat je wel nodig zou kunnen hebben tegen vriendelijke prijzen. Het huis is bijzonder netjes en schoon ingericht. Echt een aanrader !

Tolle Wohnung mit herzlichen Gastgebern

Schon vor der Anreise war das Telefonat mit den Gastgebern sehr herzlich und man hat gespürt, dass man willkommen war. Entsprechend verlief die Begrüssung. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr gross, sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Besonders toll war der "kleine Supermarkt", der uns tatsächlich ausgeholfen hat, da wir ständig vergessen haben Butter zu besorgen. :) Im Grossen und Ganzen kommen wir sehr gerne wieder und empfehlen jedem, der an den Mittelrhein will diese Unterkunft.

Out in the country

We have always preferred to stay out of the cities when visiting other countries as we have found that this is the best way to get a taste of where you are visiting, and this was no exception. The location gives you easy access To Frankfurt, Cologne and the surrounding areas. The property is clean neat and tidy and a pleasure to stay in with everything provided and if there is anything missing Friedhelm or Birgit will find it. We especially enjoyed Friedhelms introduction to the area and his wonderful BBQ expertise.

A Wonderful Week in Oberdiebach

We had a great time staying in Oberdiebach in this very comfortable house. The owners live next door and were so friendly and helpful it added to the enjoyment of our week. The house had everything we needed. The only downside was that the internet only worked in one room - the back upstairs bedroom but internet and mobile phone coverage were generally a problem in these deep valleys beside the Rhine - not something the owners could do anything about. All in all a great week and a good base to explore the Rhine valley and beyond.

De familie was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Alles was in overvloed aanwezig in de vakantiewoning. Op sommige dagen was het mogelijk dat er broodjes werden bezorgd. Wij vinden dit appartement echt een aanrader

Excellent Accommodation and outstanding service.

Our family of 3 adults and 3 children enjoyed staying in the beautiful home in Oberdiebach. Our hosts, who lived nextdoor were very hospitable and we felt right at home. Everything was perfect, nice brochures what to do in the region and basic kitchen condiments were available. After our long flight our hostess had done the groceries for us for the first evening. Overall it was a very pleasant stay at a reasonable price.

Tolles, gut ausgestattetes, sauberes Haus. Alle Schlafzimmer, beide Bäder, Küche, Wohnzimmer sind in einem einwandfreiem Zustand. Ein Vorratsraum mit Getränken, Süssigkeiten und vieles mehr und vor allem auch preiswert - findet man in anderen Häuser nicht. Die Gastgeber wohnen direkt nebenan und sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wetter war auch o.k. Das Haus kann man nur weiterempfehlen.

Het ontbreekt aan niets.

Het huis ziet er keurig netjes uit. Alles is af tot in de kleinste details. Ook de eigenaren die langs het huis wonen zijn super aardig en zijn behulpzaam. Zeker een aanrader voor als je met een groep mensen daar wil verblijven.👍🏻

Lovely home along the Rhein

Nice home in a small village just up from the Rhein. Very well equipped. Spotlessly clean. Spacious and comfortable. Parking at the front door. Very well located for exploring Rhein vineyards and villages from Koblenz to Rudesheim. Owners are next door. There was a “pantry” set up where the owners had provided a variety of daily groceries and even local wines and jams for sale at reasonable prices. Great if you are arriving late or when you hadn’t had a chance to hit a market. Internet was moderately reliable in the living room.

Die Wohnung liegt unweit der vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten und bekannten Orte im Mittelrheintal in einem kleinen ruhigen Ort. Sie ist vom Vermieter geschmackvoll und großzügig mit allem ausgestattet was man benötigen könnte. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Modernes und luxuriös ausgestattetes Haus in herrlicher Natur

Wir haben mit 6 Erwachsenen und 3 Babies drei Tage im Ferienhaus am Bach verbracht und waren begeistert! So herzlich wie wir von den Vermietern empfangen wurden, so herzlich ist auch das komplett neu renovierte und sehr saubere Haus ist bis ins kleinste Detail liebevoll dekoriert. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, es gibt sogar einen kleinen Notfall-Supermarkt und auch der Handtuch und Bettwäscheservice ist wahrer Luxus! Bei gutem Wetter war es auf der Terrasse sehr angenehm und ringsherum laden die Weinberge zum Wandern ein. Uns hat es an nichts gefehlt! Ein richtiger Glücksgriff, an den wir bestimmt gerne noch einmal zurück kehren!
