The pool closed all 4 days we were there. No maid service. New owners seem to be more interested in putting up employees then guest there.

I am sorry you feel this way Michael. Although it is true that we purchased the motel to house employees for our restaurant, this is not our primary function. We have been vigorously updating rooms to get them more presentable to our guests. We have not gotten to the area where you stayed yet and had no other updated rooms before your arrival. The pool being closed was not within our control. We are new owners and therefore we are not yet licensed to operate a pool. We have applied for the license and await an inspection to allow for our pool to open. This is more a product of circumstance than anything else. In reference to Housekeeping Services, my wife and I both commented on the Do Not Disturb sign that was hung on the door during your stay. We both felt it odd that you didn't want the room refreshed. This is obviously a misunderstanding as the season has just begun and I have plenty of staff that have very little to do.I would have loved to have you address my wife or I in person during your stay. I know we were there quite a bit. Handling complaints at the end of the stay allows us no time to correct things during your stay.Jim

Absolute pit. The pool was filthy, unswimmable. Weeds waist high. TV would not work. “BBQ area” disgusting with no way to clean grill, brush, etc. AC unadjustable. The room looks was fairly clean but certainly not even vacuumed. Sand all over the floor. Owner is nice but either clueless or going out of business.

One of the most rundown rooms we have ever stayed in. Door blind was torn, lampshade was torn, sheets didn’t fit the bed. We slept in our clothes because the room just seemed dirty. The price for this small, rundown room was outrageous. We would never stay here again.

Clean and comfortable, great location
I needed another beach overnight, and this was the place for me ! Clean, comfortable, close to the beach. Had my early morning g walk, a cup of coffee, and off for a full beach day :)

Nice hotel
Pros:The owners were just great
Cons:Update the rooms and put the vent in the bathroom on its own switch, it was very noisy.
Location:Olgonquit beach and playhouse is close by, very nice. Wells beach is also a very nice place to go. For shopping , there is the cannon outlet & reny's
Room was a good size, needs a little improving.People were very nice and helpful . Coffee was very good . Need to put a ice machine closer to the back were the motel rooms are for us older folks. Other than that we had a great time and would stay there again.

Very old and outdated
Pros:The staff

Location:We can to visit our son who goes to UNE.
The room was very old and outdated. There was mold on the walls in the bathroom and the sink dripped all night. The TV had hardly any channels on it. I felt like I was staying at a cheap hourly motel instead of cottages. The people were very friendly but I would never stay here again.

I assure you we are not a 'cheap hourly motel' (if those even exist?). We are a family run motel and as owners, we are always available to our guests. If you experienced such disappointment with your room, we would hope that you would have brought these matters to our attention during one of your two night's stay rather than posting online a surprise review of 2 stars over 5 months later.
