Nice and Pleasing in Phuket
Pros:clean rooms, great views, great showers, large restrooms with private door, good beds pillows.
Cons:buffet, food prices, drink prices, let people know about the tide and that half of the time beach is unusable, spa never accommodating.
Location:pier, phuket aquarium, tarzan adventure, lookout points everywhere, great thai massage everywhere nearby from local parlors
Overall the stay in Phuket was a good one. this hotel is very nice, clean and pleasant. There were some issues with the language (as far as the locals didn't know english) but that is expected. Overall they were very nice and sweet, they helped where they could and directed us to others as needed. Expect to pay for EVERYTHING - it seemed that everything had a charge to it. and i strongly suggest that you get the "Breakfast Included" deal - otherwise it will get pricey if you don't and decide to eat breakfast everyday. Their buffet is good (not the best i've seen, but decent) and the food at the restaurants is good but expensive for the island. There is also the issue that there is no regulated TAXI service, everyone works on this suggested rate nonsense and honestly its really LAME, once you get the hotel to get you a cab, you pay a flat fee, a hotel fee (im sure), and then if the guy takes you to the wrong place (since he doesn't speak your language and was given the wrong directions) you have to pay another tip, it gets really silly really fast. I suggest renting a scooter (300 THB a day) and taking yourself places via google maps because any other form of transport will eat up your money faster than anything else.
Overall the hotel was nice, we did have some issues with room service and the pools were dirty - and what they don't tell you is that the hotel is in an inlet and that the beautiful scenery is only temporary since the tide goes out every day and leaves dirt.
