Vidanta Rivera Maya has been chosen as one of the Top 5 Resort Hotels in Eastern Mexico by Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards and in 2021 was named in the top 25 Mexican resorts. The Bliss Resort has a modern boutique resort feel in tropical setting conveniently located approximately 30 minutes from Cancun Airport (CUN) and situated between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. The resort is secure and gated and only members are allowed.
This suite has 1 BR (King size bed), 1 Ba, a kitchen with a dining table in an open floor plan, a living room with 2 queen pullout couches, and a small balcony off the LR, along with many upscale amenities. . This suite can accommodate 4 adults and 2 children (under 12).
Your stay must be a minimum of 7 nights, and it may be possible to have up to 3 weeks depending on the timing. I have allowed instant booking, but **it is possible that the exact week you desire is not available** so please allow a couple hours (or 1 day, depending on the time and my ability to contact the resort) for confirmation. Check-in days are Friday-Monday.
This suite provides a great deal of flexibility. You can request a different or upgraded suite in Riviera Maya. This reservation can also be transferred to Vidanta properties in Nuevo Vallarta (home of ABC's Bachelor in Paradise), Los Cabos, Acapulco, or Puerto Vallarta. (See Vidanta.com for resort details)

The resort is immaculate, safe and quiet. There are many pools, including an adult-only with a swim-up bar. There is a private beach that is quiet and relaxing with great shade and chairs available. There are many spa services available. There are multiple restaurants, including an option for private dining on the water. There are lots of opportunities for entertainment on site, including Cirque de Soleil Joya. There is an amazing golf course on site.
Playa del Carmen is close to lots of Mayan ruins - Belize is a few hours away. There are water parks, amusement parks and lots of outdoor activities nearby. Horseback riding, boating of all sorts (including a submarine) and fishing are close. Lots of opportunities to interact with nature -there is great snorkeling and scuba diving, and there are turtles, dolphins and other wildlife close by. There is also 5th avenue, a pedestrian street with restaurants and night life close by.
This is a fabulous resort. It's impossible to not have a great time, whether you are looking for rest or excitement and whether it is a romantic getaway or a family vacation!

Great stay and even better Host!!!
Deb was amazing! We had some hiccups and issues with our flights and needed help from her to extend our reservation with the resort and she was so helpful. She was making things happen while we were on excursions and unable to keep in constant contact. The resort itself is beautiful, LARGE, and beautiful. Very good service from all staff and we experienced a very smooth checkin and checkout process even with all the changes we had made. Everything was meticulously cleaned and all staff were masked 24x7 whether they were inside or out. Overall great stay, but I really can't thank Deb enough for all her time and countless responses to my requests. Super star host!

Beautiful spot in Riviera Maya
This unit was within The Bliss building. It was a great location to amenities and transportation off property. Just wish we had a useable patio but it was great otherwise. Very clean and the staff was very helpful and responsive.

Great Resort!!
This is a listing for a suite at the gianormous Vidanta resort. While The Bliss building is listed, we got shifted to The Grand Mayan, which was great. Just know that you can be shifted around the property, which is generally an upgrade. The property is huge and there are trams to take you around, if you are not up for long walking. Really depends on what building you end up in. Other thing to know is that not all parts of the property will be open to you, e.g., certain pools are open to only people who are in the more posh buildings. There is plenty of great stuff and beautiful pools, but understand that some of the fancy pictures promoted on Vidanta's website are off limits. Overall was a great trip and I recommend the place. The suite that we ended up in was nice and large and had a kitchen (we used the on-site mini grocery to have some meals in our room). Had some standard big hotel challenges, but that means that they also have maintenance people to address problems quickly. Really enjoyed the Salum part of the property and its multiple cuisine choices and bars. Our food experience was spectacular. Also enjoyed hopping from one pool bar to another. The resort had gone cashless during COVID, but be sure to bring some pesos to freely distribute early in your stay -- we got remembered by the staff as we returned to our favorite places throughout the week. Finally, I would remark about the COVID precautions. The resort was well equipped and following all of the rules. Certainly some gringos flouting the rules, but we were very comfortable with the virus precautions and felt welcomed and appreciated.
