Cabins At Hay Creek- Beautiful Log Cabin Stunning Views of Glacier National Park

As with all three of our cabins, Grey Wolf sits on more than 20 acres of pristine forest and meadow. The expansive windows and roomy deck provide an unrivaled view north into Glacier National Park. On clear nights, your deck is also the perfect place to gaze at stars, which, due in part to our sparsely populated valley, are wonderfully bright.

Grey Wolf features two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. There is also a full bathroom, with a combo shower and tub--complete with beautiful tile work. In addition, Grey Wolf offers a fully-equipped kitchen, and a combined dining and living room area with an energy-efficient Jotul wood stove. Logs, which are cut from our own property, are provided. On your deck, there is a large bistro style table and chairs. Log accents abound throughout the cabin.

Last but not least, our namesake: Hay creek runs the course of our southern border. It is home to the endangered bull trout.

Please note: Due to the lack of service in Polebridge, internet is not available at our cabins.

Beautiful surroundings
Love the location. Very secluded and peaceful. They supply dry cut wood but be sure to bring you own axe to make kindling. The picture shows a coffee pot but there is no coffee pot. We figured out how to use the French press, so no harm, no foul. Highly recommend this place.

Heaven On Earth
A little slice of peace on earth. Wonderful watching the deer every evening out in the hay field. Property was perfect for a much needed off grid stay and Mary is so kind. If you can’t find yourself here, you are lost! We will be back!!

Unplug and reconnect
Outstanding cabin to recharge your emotional batteries. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Wildlife abounds. The pastries from the Merc are an added bonus. Bowman Lake is a must see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We really liked the cabin. It was clean and the views were amazing. Upon leaving the only thing we did not like is that the owner wants the guests to take the trash to a trash drop off spot. The town where the trash drop off is 30 miles away. We had a very early flight when we were leaving. We took the trash to the owner’s desired drop spot and they were closed. Did not open until 8am. When you are paying $300.00 ish per night I wouldn’t think the renter should need to work for the sanitation department.

Hidden Gem of Glacier
This property was everything we could have asked for and more! The cabin was tucked back on the NW side of the park. The view from the porch was unbelievable and it was no issue getting to anywhere else you wanted to visit in the park. I would recommend this place to anyone who doesn’t want to deal with the hustle and bustle of the crowded hotels that are on the interior of the park. I will be back for sure!

Beautiful but Disappointing
The cabins at Hay Creek are very attractive and well-maintained. The location is gorgeous. Our issue with the rental was primarily with the circumstances of our stay. Unfortunately, we booked a cabin before all the fires started. When we learned there was a fire in the area, we contacted the owner who assured us that everything was fine, no immediate threat to the area. However, when we arrived at the cabin, we found a note informing us that we could not use the wood-burning stove (only source of heat in the cabin) and we could not use the barbecue during our stay. No other communication. We chose this place because we were looking forward to a warm fire at night and grilling most of our meals. Also, we misunderstood the layout of the cabin, and we weren’t comfortable with the arrangement. We decided not to stay there, which was our choice. When we informed the owner of our disappointment, she basically scolded us, told us we could have made do, and didn’t express any concern for our disappointment. Instead, she ranted about not being able to rent it to someone else. What added to our frustration is that she didn’t seem to understand that we didn’t have an issue with the cabin until we arrived. Had we known about the restrictions earlier we would have canceled or asked to reschedule, giving her time to accept a new booking. We don’t blame her for the fires, the restrictions, the weather, and the other challenges that are part of visiting the national parks. We did expect to be treated with courtesy and respect.
