Our stay at this property was wonderful. The service was amazing and there was plenty of things to do in the surrounding areas. I would definitely stay at this location again if I revisited Charlottetown. 10/10 experience!

There is nothing wrong with the staff. They are exemplary. The problem is with the booking via Travelocity. I very specifically wanted to stay in the Fairholm Inn, which is a particular building built by a distant cousin. The process for booking a room there on Travelocity limited me to certain suites due to the fact that I'm traveling with 3 kids. But I booked it. In my Travelocity confirmation, I got the photo of the inn at the top, and the name of the inn at the top. All is well right? WRONG. I was actually booked in their "Carriage House." This is a neighboring building that has nothing to do with my cousin! NOWHERE in Travelocity did it say I was booked in the Carriage House.
Upon complaining about this issue it was recommended to me (way too late) to book rooms directly at the Fairholm Inn web site, which would show which building each room is in. There are a handful of different buildings that fall into the "Fairholm Inn" umbrella. A fact I discovered too late.
When I arrived, I was horrified to discover I was booked in a different building, and the Fairholm Inn itself was booked up. So I spent enormous amounts of money to travel across the country to stay at this particular inn, only to stay at an expensive apartment across from it. DISASTER.
The host of the inn was very sorry about the mistake, and made amends by giving my family a private breakfast in the dining hall of the inn the next morning, so that at least we could see that portion of it.
