The hotel is located about a 15 minute from the main area of Cabarete. This part of town is not patrolled by the tourist police, so it's best to take a mototaxi after dark for 50 pesos. After 5pm they have an armed guard at the gate.
The room I stayed in was large, clean, and reasonably modern. The services offered are somewhat basic; the room is not cleaned during your stay, towels and bed sheets are not changed, etc. They don't provide bathroom or dish soap, so make sure to bring your own. The air conditioning functioned very well and kept the room at a pleasant temperature.
The pool and grounds are nice. There a good outdoor area for relaxing.
There is a bar nearby that plays very loud music Thursday through Saturday. It can be heard in the room and can go quite late at night. I also found that some guests did not always obey the 10pm noise curfew.
The owner, Manu, is very friendly and helpful if you have any questions or issues.
