"Very Happy"
Our family does not take vacations together very often. With three kids it has always been something we save for. This year our oldest turned 18 so we figured we would go to San Diego as our last big family trip. We were so pleased with everything about our stay here! The room was big enough for five people to comfortably stay and everyone remarked on how clean and well kept the hotel was. My kids loved the heated pool and I enjoyed reading in the evenings poolside and fireside at the same time. I was able to do laundry without any issues one evening too. Breakfast was good as long as we went earlier than 8:30. Our last two days we waited since we didn't have any activities early in the day and it was hard to find seating together. Parking was the only other bummer. There were some trucks that parked through multiple spots with their trailer so it made it a bit tight... then paying $18/a day for parking just made it annoying. We completely recommend this property to others.

"You get what you pay for"
Wanted a cheap hotel that wasn't outright disgusting or in a horrible area and I got exactly that. The room was decently sized, the bed was clean and comfortable and the area felt safe. The room was not without issues however. Floor and walls were slightly stained. One of the receptacles shorted out while using it. The TV was very old and not so good. The water pressure of the shower was terrible. The safe did not work. The light switch did not work. The Wi-fi was unreliable, incredibly slow and was unusable a lot of the time. The card key for my door stopped working halfway through my stay and I had to get a replacement.

"Lovely Stay"
I really loved everything about my stay, room super clean and the bed was so comfortable. Only down thing is that they don't provide with complementary breakfast. Other than that... lovely stay! :)

"The hotel was under renovation. No pool, spa not available"
The Hawthorne in San Diego turned out to be a better motel than expected. The motel was under renovation, but the room was nice. The room had two queen beds in a two room suite with a hide-away. It also had a kitchenette, and 2 full bathrooms. There was not a pool and the hot tub was out of commission due to the construction which the kids did not like. The continental breakfast was ok. The Embassy Suite North in Anaheim had an excellent continental breakfast and pool and hot tub (both in doors). The room was horrible. I should have called you guys to see if you could help me. We booked a 2 room suite with 2 double beds. The Embassy Suites put us in a 2 room suite with 1 king bed and a hide-away. This was horrible for 3 adults and 3 children. My back and neck still hurt from sleeping on the hide-away. Sea World was a blast. Disneyland was tiring.

The Atwood hotel was amazing and a great experience!! However, I will NEVER again use travelocity for anything and I have already announced on all of my social media how horrible our experience was through you. First on our way to San Diego we were forced to upgrade our seats and pay an additional fee to even get on our plane because your website says NOTHING about calling to confirm flight reservations. It actually says the exact opposite. And THEN Our rental car we reserved was not even available and we had to pay to upgrade when we arrived. (An extra $20 a day on top of the $18 a day we had already paid) Upon confirming our flight home, we discovered that once again, only one of us had a seat reserved but the other didn't so in order to even get on the plane my boyfriend was told he would need to pay the extra $100 to upgrade his seat AND in order to sit us with each other they had to move us to the disabled section of the plane. I am completely mortified I even booked my vacation through you. And with the extra $600 I had to pay for everything I will unfortunately NEVER use Travelocity again. I was beyond disappointed.

"Nice time!"
Great location in Hotel Circle. Clean room. Queen Bed. Good parking; lots of covered spaces for shade. Microwave in the room along with refrigerator. Iron if needed. Great breakfast spread in the morning; waffle maker, eggs, sausage, yogurt, tea, coffee. The only thing missing was a pool. They claim they don't have one as they are close to the beach, but the July traffic heading to the beach -- ugh!
