This hotel never ceases to amaze me. The clean & comfortable rooms, the wine & cheese reception, the great morning breakfast (free), the hot tub (Ohhh so relaxing!), the beautiful & serene courtyard and above all the great location near everything worth seeing in Charleston. The staff are super friendly & helpful also! I have stayed here before & I will stay again.

The inn was very convenient to the city market and restaurants. My stay was very pleasant. I think, however, that the breakfast was disappointing. I found it on par with chain hotels along the interstate. Not what I expected from this inn.

The place has such charm. I will definitely stay there again. They serve a fresh breakfast and wine and cheese reception. So quaint. The staff were so helpful for us tourists.

Great location to walk around the historic district of Charleston.
However, upon finding the place, we had to call to ask where to park as it was flanked on both sides and the back by other businesses' paid parking.
We were instructed to park in the loading zone out front, bypass the lobby (under construction) and find what appeared to be a locker room further in.
We were then assessed a small "destination fee" (for what,I couldn't say) and given a choice of paid parking options ($20-$30).
We opted to find our own nearby paid parking and explored the town.
It was a classy enough place, but was uncomfortable to notice there only appeared to be white guests and only black staff - some of whom wore white gloves.
Everyone was super polite and helpful, but there was that strange feeling of maybe they cater to some racist white fantasy or something...could just be my imagination.
Upon returning to the room, the cable didn't work.
We attempted to reset it several times and then just went to bed, as we didn't want company trying to fix the cable at 9pm after travelling for over 9 hours and spending several more visiting Charleston.
Frankly, I love the location and the staff, but it's certainly not worth the money for a short stay.
