The property is very tired and badly needs a complete renovation. Torn net curtains and very basic. We had traveled by ferry from Vancouver Island and luckily for us we had dinner on the boat. My daughter wanted to eat at Moxies and have a drink following a very testing day. It was also a very hot day and we badly need some chilled refreshment at the bar. We went in the bar around 21.30 and told they were not doing food, and we asked for a nice cold beer. A few minutes later the waitress told us the bar was closing early and we couldn’t have a drink - really! A really disappointing stay.

Due to communication error’s we spent a hour waiting for a shuttle from the Vancouver airport to the hotel. We phoned to find out that there were no shuttles after 12:30 pm. We had phoned the evening prior and told there were shuttles available for our flight. The f try int desk gentleman was very argumentative and said I must have called the wrong hotel. I asked him to check my reservation which he found and advised him that was in fact the hotel I confirmed the shuttle with. We were advised that there was no shuttle so would have to take a cab. This was very frustrating as that is why I reserved a room for the night hoping to rely on a shuttle. On the website it says shuttle service available. There was a shuttle in the morning. So it seems to affect arrivals.

Our shuttle timing have recently changed starting 1st dec shuttle timings are 0430am - noon and 5pm till mid night. If any guest arriving after the hours, we are provide them with up to 20 reimbursement for taxi. Again apologies for all the miscommunication. The room was not very clean (toothpaste on the wall, faucets not wiped down,) and the gym equipment was dying (eliptical was falling apart). There was a sign up sheet for the pool but no one monitored it. The property is getting run down (one lamp didn't work) and my room had multiple extension cords hanging in unsafe places.
