Beautiful Accommodation
Perfect accommodation with plenty of space for 6 of us for one week. Check in and check out all went well with great communication from host. Private outside area with a fantastic pool. Good location for exploring the island. Highly recommend this property.

Belle Maison
Can only describe this beautiful house with a wow. From the minute we walked in and looked around we were amazed by the tranquility and surroundings.
Attention to detail amazing, spotless,comfortable accommodation with lovely pool In the courtyard.
Great location for exploring the local area and stunning Ile de Re. Bars and restaurants nearby. Made use of hire bikes locally to explore also.
A couple of minor additions would be perfect, a fan in the bedrooms as was very hot and some plastic glasses for pool area.
Thank you to Madame Leveque for your hospitality. We would love to come back again one day.

Spacious house
The house and pool were a very relaxing place to spend time and the electric awning is a great way of providing shade, although there were only four loungers available. Eating outside is available back and front.
Our main surprise was to arrive and find an absence of basic essentials such as dishcloths, scourers, washing up liquid and hand soap in the bathrooms. This could be a great place to stay with a few more thoughtful touches.

Enjoyable but with reservations
We were very much looking forward to our week together as a family, having had to cancel this booking two years running because of the pandemic.
The property is as described online, modern, secure and compact; good beds and a lovely covered area where we could eat outside. There are only 4 loungers outside though and as there were 7 adults in the party, we fought over these! What we were surprised about was that the only thing in the villa were 4 dishwasher tablets and ant killer. No dishcloth, washing up liquid, cleaner for spills, basic herbs or oil, soap or welcome basket. In our 14 years of renting family villas, we have not come across this before. It meant many trips to the supermarket!
I found the owners slow to respond to emails or did not respond fully which made me very anxious about the rental. We were annoyed that there was no cot bedding when I had specifically asked if we needed bring our own. Some plastic glasses (we bought some after a couple of breakages) for outside and plastic plates for the children would also have been useful, otherwise it was well equipped.
We didn’t particularly like Rivedoux. We had apparently arrived on a bank holiday weekend and the roads for two days were full, bumper to bumper, of traffic ALL day. As the town is next to the bridge to La Rochelle, there was a constant stream of traffic all week.
We had a real issue getting to the villa as the number the owners gave us for a taxi did not respond/was unobtainable and no other taxi firm replied. There were no taxis at the rank when we arrived and again, none responded to calls. I’d advise anyone arriving by plane to sort this out beforehand. When texting the owners of the villa that we were stranded, they replied to let them know when we arrived at the villa and they would bring the key. My son and daughter arrived first and they sent over their teenage daughter who gave them basic instructions.
Overall, we enjoyed our holiday - we had waited so long for it - but it could have been so much better.

Family Holiday in Ile de Re
We have enjoyed a fantastic week at Nathalie's property in Ile de Re. Our party was us, our 9 and 8 year old children, and my wife's parents. The layout of the property was perfect, giving everyone their own space whilst sharing super communal areas.
The booking process was excellent - Nathalie replied promptly to our availability request, and all was sorted out quickly.
The property is in excellent condition, very clean, and well equipped. Nathalie explained all of the requirements and facilities quickly, clearly and efficiently.
The swimming pool was great, and the outside dining area very pleasant for breakfast.
There are several great restaurants, boulangeries, and a couple of supermarkets within close walking distance.
There are also cycle hire places close by - cycling is certainly the way to get around on ile de Re - once we had arrived we didn't use the car again until we left - wonderful!
We thought Rivedoux Plage was a little quieter than some of the other resorts, which suited us fine - cycling to lunch in St Martin or La Flotte was easy, but they were pretty crowded and we preferred Rivedoux for the beach and evening dining out.

Nathalie was a very kind and helpful host. Our two families with 4 young boys had a fantastic time. The villa with 4 generous double bedrooms, great living space and pool suited us perfectly.
