This place is so big they have golf carts driving you around, it so big tha wven tho the resort is full you never feel like your bumping into people. Its great

Overall very nice, I had an issue with zero blanket on my bed just a sheet. I was pretty chilly at nighttime sleeping, I called front desk 2x and requested a blanket. I never got the blanket

Great Resort with a Few Flaws
Pros:Nice facilities, grounds keepers are very friendly. Food was good for the most part.
Cons:Customer service and treatment of ALL guests, not just special treatment for some.
Location:Xcaret is a must! We had so much fun here! It is an all day trip and make sure to stay for the show at 9pm!!!
I was a little skeptical about the resort after reading some of the reviews on here. When we arrived at GP Colonial the receptionist was nice, checked us in, etc. We did notice that the European guests were greeted with drinks and we were not (we are Hispanic), which was an interesting observation. We arrived a little earlier than 3pm which is their strict check in time, so we had to leave our luggage with the bellhops which was a bit unsettling but our luggage was taken to a locked room. Unfortunately we continued to experience the lack of courtesy throughout the trip, waiting a long time at the bars (being skipped over), etc. We didn't let it bother us, but it was a bit of a hassle. The first day we did not receive any room service, we had to request sheets for the pullout couch bed twice before receiving and toilet paper. The beach was bad, as many reviews mention but that is out of the hotels control so we hung out by the pool the majority of our trip. The pool was nice but the water was constantly luke warm, it would have been nicer if it were cold as it was extremely hot outside. The real issue was that the people at the front desk were pretty rude and not helpful after the original check in. The bellhops were extremely rude and it always seemed like I was bothering them when I would ask for a taxi. Because of this, I am not sure I would return to GP. There are too many resorts in the Riviera Maya to be treated rudely while on vacation.

Beyond wonderful
Pros:Staff, hospitality, natural pool, spa, accommodation
This has been my third experience in the resort and I love it. We stayed one week this time at the end of October. There is something special about this place that makes you feel warm and want to come back (I already booked another trip for December for two weeks). Everything is set up in such a nicely way that you always feel that they have your back. Everything is done in a timely manner to make your stay joyful. Lots of food options, lots of pools, wonderful beach, amazing natural pool in the beach, sports, activities, relaxation in the spa. It's the best place to stay without any doubt. I love walking through the paths, watching the flamingos or the crocodile. Everything is great in this place and, above anything else, the staff. They are naturally kind, always offering a smile and willing to help no matter what it takes. I don't look anywhere else for a getaway. Grand Palladium Riviera Maya is THE place.

Good service and tropical ambiance
Had a great time. Good for family with young adults as we were all able to relax and do our own things as well as injoy some of this resorts amenities together.
