Siesta key is a beautiful place and Banana Cabana is in the perfect location to the beach and the village. It is a beautiful property to stay at.

First of all the pictures are deceiving. This property is in serious need of renovation. Couch smelled like it had been picked up on the side of the road. Carpet under the couch is filthy. Parts of the flooring are held down with duc tape. Beds do not fit frames. Doors have gaps in them. You can hear everything out side the windows are so thin. The carpet in the bedrooms are so stained it’s hard to tell if they have ever been cleaned. There is a sign on the door about being quiet for your neighbors, yet the neighbors partied until 3:30 am. Balcony is so worn that it looks like it could cave in. We reached out to the management company when they asked us what we thought of our stay. We told them everything and we did not even get we are sorry you were disappointed. Beware if you think you are getting so merging nice. The location is nice but you cannot see the water at all.

Amazing tiny cottage for a family of 4. Excellent outdoor space, quiet. Walkable distance to beach and town. Will stay here in the future.

Avoid this one if you want tv to watch.
The listing said basic cable but we could only get a few stations. The mgmt firm kept saying they were working on getting it fixed, when i called them, as they were not keeping me informed, then the last night they said we had all of the tv that the listing offered. DEFINITELY NOT. A hole in the bedroom floor needs repair, and the light in the bedroom ceiling fan did not work. Minimal light in the bedroom. We informed them of that too. I have been using Hotels.com for years, and this is the first time I have ever filed a complaint with them. I finally talked with a manager of the company handling the facility who said she would look into everything and she would definitely call me that night. She did not. I would avoid any facility handled by Beachside Management, as I will in the future.

Photos and descriptions are deceiving. Need to just tell the truth.
We could not watch tv in the evening even with a hotspot. Photos and description of place is way off. More like a 15 minute walk to beach. Cottage was old and floor tore up. It is a good location but the cottage needs a lot of love and care put to it and it would be a lovely place to stay. Tell owner to invest in some decent furniture in bedrooms. Dresser drawers desperately need replacing with some new ones. Could not find a broom to sweep floors with. Too many appliances and window units on the electric currents cause the lights flicker all the time or went out then back on. Would not recommend cause there are other places more nicer and updated for the amount of money we spent here.

FRAUD ALERT!!! This is a complete false advertisement. When I booked through Expedia , it says the hotel will there’s 1. Beach access - first of all there’s no beach access, the nearest beach access is at least 15 mins walk. 2. Pool access - there’s no pool access , the pool is in another resort which is 10 mins walk. 3.internet access. - the internet did not work. Despite calling the phone number several times, there was no solution provided. They finally sent someone the day before checking out to fix the WiFi but she was of no help. Absolutely clueless and was asking us how to reset a password. 4.House keeping. - there was no housekeeping and there was no toiletries that were provided. To top it, they charge you more on site than it’s mentioned while booking. The front desk girl was unprofessional and impolite when these things were communicated to her. The manager is never available to talk.
