I don't have time to write the book but basically it's a bad hotel. What the hotel and booking agents don't tell you is that it's a Club Med 8 to 16 hotel.
The first room we were given was so small that one could not walk around the end of the bed. The second room was larger.
The breakfast was very poor. Tinned fruit salad, corn flakes or muesli followed by stale croissant. With no laid tables and the need to find your own cutlery. Next day more of the same but no fruit salad. The stale croissant from yesterday were warmed up (burnt). When we refused the croissant some bread was found. Again no tables were laid. Third day the tables were laid but food was just as bad. The staff were just incompetent. We did not stay for our fourth day.

Not as bad as many rate
This is certainly a family hotel with many unsupervised young children at times. This can create some chaos and elevator waits at peak times. I read several reviews before that the food was not good. I disagree or it has improved with many buffet selections and the service in the restaurant is good as well, but you must avoid the peak time when it opens since so many families dine early. By 8:15 for dinner it is OK.
Wifi is only in the common areas (small fee) and slow. Slopes are very close (~200m) and you can store gear in the sister hotel only ~100m form the slopes for 6 Euro per day.
Beds old and uncomfortable . Pillows very thin and we had to make extra pillows out of clothing. You can't spend cash or card at the bar and have to go to reception and get a another card to put money on it. Every time I used it at the bar it said zero balance and I had to go back. To reception to sort it out. In the end I just gave up. Boot and ski room is in a different hotel. Over all very average and would not recommend or return to.
Very old hotel, with no WiFi, no ski room deposit (unbelievable!!) and disgusting breakfast (where can you find a worst coffee?). Shower without lights.

Overall a good hotel in a good location
Good Hotel for the price. Rooms are ok but you the rooms have paper walls and you can hear everything. Hotel is in a really good location with easy access to the ski lifts and close to the restaurants. Breakfast could be better. No wifi in the rooms.
Booked a quadruple room
Got a triple room with a double bed which meant I had to share a bed with my 18 year old son
The hotel management couldn't/wouldn't change it
Easy access to the ski resorts and easy to find.
The room wasn't so great, but I wasn't expecting something good after reading the reviews.
Breakfast was poor.

Hostel not Hotel
Hotel is not a suitable description, Hostel would be more appropriate. Very full of familys that seem happy for their children to trawl the hallways and lifts without any supervision. Paper thin walls between rooms so can even hear you next room talking. Rooms quite clean and warm. Breakfast was not substantial, just adequate. Wifi is supposed to be free in common areas but Reception staff pick and choose who they give the access code to or want to charge for it. And no wifi anywhere else in the hotel. Reception staff very rude.
Great value with basic needs for a nice ski vacation in lovely Sestriere.Old structure but great service, staff and fun, very good value for money overall.Good location near the ski piste (about 100-150 meters).Free parking.
