This beautiful, quiet bed and breakfast was the best stay my wife and I have ever had anywhere. Rich in history and lavishly furnished, it takes you back into a time when life was simple, romantic, and homey. The warm reception I received was unmatched to any I have experienced. Holly made us the best breakfast we have ever had together. The staff turned a one night pit-stop into an unexpectedly special experience. Thank you so much!

Charming and beautiful old home in a transitional neighborhood but that goes along with this sort of thing. Wonderful light breakfast and a relaxing atmosphere. As my second BnB experience ever I have to say I enjoyed it greatly. Good value and a great big bath tub. Thank you !

The home is beautiful and it is absolutely remarkable how much work the current owner has done, especially after leaning that the house was burned previously! This B & B lacks what we appreciate most about staying at a B & B, the engaging inn keepers. The inn keeper made 1-2 appearances per day, during breakfast only. The conversation was short and sweet without any elaboration about anything in the area. Just not what we are used to. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and inn keepers who leave you completely to yourself, this is the place for you! The rooms are lovely, and parts of the house have not yet been completed and are not open (top floor). There were some plumbing issues in one of our rooms, but not the other. The neighborhood is mostly quiet and there were other grand homes in the area. So happy they decided to save this historical jewel.

This is our second stay and did not disappoint. Beds and pillows are comfy, AC works great, easy check in, great breakfasts, friendly and helpful staff.

beautiful old home

Pros: we especially liked the appearance of the interior; it was lovingly and spectacularly restored.
Location: downtown St Joe is about 14 blocks away; we had a delicious dinner at Boudreaux's on 4th street.
the entire place is a restored mansion from the 1880's. everything is gorgeous and looks to be period appropriate. the furniture, the paintings, the wallpaper, the ceilings, the floors, everything, including small touches such as a pitcher in the bedroom made us feel as if we were in the 1880's. our host was friendly and welcoming and made us a delicious hot breakfast including good strong coffee. we appreciated the modern touches as well: wi-fi and high-count sheets for example and 1930s-1940s music playing in the background.
