While the staff were very nice to say the least we were shocked by our room. The photo on the website actually did show the room we got but it was obviously shot with a fisheye lens or something that distorted the actual size of the room. The room was far smaller than what we expected. Light controls were taped to the wall next to the bed. The toilet would not flush a toilet tissue and we told someone about this but it never was repaired. The included breakfast was about a tablespoon of yogurt with some oat flakes on top. There was also some bacon, which was good, and some cold chunks of baby potatoes. There wasn’t any toast or muffins that we were aware of. There weren’t any eggs. We were told they didn’t get a delivery. There wasn’t a closet to hang clothes in or a dresser. There was an ugly metal rack to hang clothes on in one corner. We looked at other rooms that appeared to be very attractive and I suppose we were just unlucky but luck really shouldn’t be part of what you get. Other guests seemed to be very happy with their rooms. I believe we got the least expensive room that was offered, and at the time the last available, but IMO the room was way overpriced.

The staff at Mariposa is the best. They can easily be reached and the breakfasts were fantastic. We felt like we were at someone's home. It is a lovely home - quiet, convenient to downtown, and clean.

This place is awesome B&B experience!
This is a full-on retreat center! Well maybe not officially but seriously, we loved this place. Apparently this never happens but a baby bear walked into the backyard that overlooks a creek. We got a great picture. Notice the chairs in the back? We sat out there every morning. This is a B&B experience and the breakfasts were amazing! Ready right at 8am and unique every day. Best experience in years.

It was wonderful as usual. Food is extraordinary. Friendly host and very clean, quiet beautiful setting. I wanted to mention that the bed in our room (three letter name) sank in the middle some, but we slept fine.
