Castle Arms good location for visit to Tamworth
This hotel is well located in the centre of Tamworth and right under the historic castle. there is car parking nearby with an arrangement with the hotel. the room was clean and comfortable and the issue with the fan in the bathroom was reported to the hotel so they could do something about it. it was surprisingly quiet for location.

Although attempting to keep the style of an old castle hotel in modern times will juxtapose modernity with the inadequacies of the past, I'd hoped it would have been modernized a better. The bathroom was tacked onto the room, it had a sliding door that didn't even close. The curtain fell down and maintenance didn't fix it despite being reported on the first night, the cupboard handles fell off, the shower was outdated and didn't heat properly. Just various small issues that amounted to an inconvenienced stay.

Nothing fantastic unless you’re easily pleased
It’s quite dated no lift so if you’re on the top floor expect a lot of stairs, in our room it was tidy but no fan (it was 29c). Bed was against the wall next to the window so you could wake up to your foot out of it, also the bed was not the best you could feel the base/bars underneath. The shower was ok but went cold then hot only thing I enjoyed was the breakfast in the morning
