Although the property is convenient on Route 66 I was very disappointed in the property itself. My family has stayed there many times in the past 20 years but the upkeep this time was awful. Not only was there riff raff hanging out in the area but the rooms were unclean. We had one guy try to get into my grandsons room at 1 am. That freaked him out and he got no sleep the rest of the night. Another person called his car a piece of sh** because he was driving a Kia Forte. Another person approached him who was drunk probably to ask for money. My grandson ignored him and walked off. My grandson is just 20 years old and should not have endured this type of events. The carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years, the dresser drawers had food crumbs in them, the sheets and bedspread were clean however, they both had cigarette burns in them. There was a dirty towel hanging behind the bathroom door and dog food which was attracting ants. We also found mouse droppings in the 2nd room we had. Rooms were dark as the lighting was bad. I don't expect to ever stay there again.

Wonderful Stay

Very nice host and staff at this hotel. We really enjoyed the pool. Good accommodation in the rooms. Would stay here again.

Decent hotel for the price

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet
It's not the kind of room that you would want to spend a lot of time in but if you are needing a place to stay and don't want to pay much, it's great. It's clean, the people were pretty nice and the price was extremely reasonable. The restaurant hooked to it is ok, not nearly as "great" as the reviews said and don't plan on getting anything healthy, but it's food and it worked just fine.

It's ok.

I expected much more from this hotel after reading the reviews. Our room was relatively clean but there were ants crawling all over the bathroom and some sort of smear down the bathroom door that they never cleaned up. All in all though it wasn't too bad, very old and not updated. The restaurant was not all that wonderful but again it was ok. Don't expect to get anything healthy.

Awesome biscuits and gravy!

The lady that checked us in was extremely personable, polite, and professional. When there was a problem with my CC and had problems with a replacement card all week she remained pleasant. I will highly recommend this hotel to any that travel this way. Best biscuits and gravy I have ever had! Thanks to the diner crew.
