Wonderful location steps from the heart of Vail
Pros:We loved how clean and spacious the condo was. We also loved how it overlooked Gore Creek and we could fall asleep listening to the water.
Cons:The bathroom could us an update. It was clean and functional while at the same time being well loved from when the building was new.
Location:The location is perfect. A very short walk to the gondola, mini-golfing, Gore Creek, shopping, and dining. The bicycles were fun to have available.
We were amazed with the drive up to the Antlers, the wonderful mountain flowers and sculptures welcomed us to our weekend home. The check in process was easy and it was great to be welcomed so warmly. Our accommodations were everything we thought they would be.
After a long day of hiking, the beautiful pool and two hot tubs were a welcome retreat to the day. The pool towels were ample, the pool a perfect temperature, the hot tubs were different levels of hot to accommodate all needs.

Very reasonable rooms within a 5 minute walk to the lifts
Pros:Close restaurants, pool & hot tubs

From the outside Antlers looks like it was built in the 1960s but inside it's more 1980s. The rooms are nicely furnished but fairly small and whilst the main beds are very big and comfy the sofa beds are so bad that people will rather sleep on the floor. The pool and hot-tub area is excellent after a hard days skiing, with plenty of room for lots of people in 2 tubs and a large heated pool. The nearest lifts are the Eagle Bahn Gondola which is an easy 5 minute walk from the handy ski and boot locker. The local restaurants and bars are all equidistant too. The only thing you could suffer from is noise from the adjoining apartments. The construction seems to let through even low level noise like TVs and people talking. They also allow dogs so you could be disturbed by barking animals. Otherwise a pretty reasonable place to stay near the slopes and bars.

Great Summer Bargain
Pros:Free Internet, Quiet
We made our reservations at the Antlers at Vail resort for a short summer stop-over on a trip to multiple Colorado destinations. We chose the Antlers at Vail due to their great summer rates (as compared to some of their neighbors and as compared to the much higher winter rates).
As you can imagine the hotel and resort where not as busy as they would be in the winter, but the staff were friendly and very quick at check-in. Parking in their underground garage was easy to find (though the garage is a bit of a tight squeeze for our mid-size SUV) and parking downtown in Vail is free (in the summer) making it even easier to get around and go to your favorite shop or dining place.
The room was very nice. Most of the rooms are set-up for those staying many days for skiing, so we had ample storage space, a full kitchen, dining area, and fireplace. Even though it was summer, the nights get cool in the mountains and the fireplace was nice and cozy. TV's are in the living room as well as the master bedroom. The room also had a small kids bedroom (really an oversize hallway with a set of single beds in a bunk (top and bottom) arrangement. One bathroom with the toilet/shower in one room and sink/mirror in a sort of walkway (to allow more than one person to use one or the other at a time).
Finally, the pool looked great, a nice creek ran behind the hotel with walking trails, and a very scenic and peaceful setting. You can walk to the nearby downtown street of the local village there, but the main action is further down the road at the Vail proper or other villages where you either take the Vail shuttle bus or drive.

Fantastic Autumn Family Getaway
We had eight people from three families sharing a 4-bedroom condo at the Antlers last October over a long weekend. With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, we felt like we had plenty of room to accomodate our group. The kids went down to the outdoor pool and jacuzzi both days and loved it. The town was quiet but there was plenty to do, and we especially enjoyed cooking dinner in our room one night; there was a large dining table that we all fit around. After dinner we all watched a movie in the living room and when we looked outside the window there was a huge tree outside lit with Christmas lights! All in all it was a great stay, and the staf at the Antlers could not have been nicer.
